The Noble Prophet, Sallallahu alaihi Wasallam, said, as related by Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that:-- "Sha'aban is my month, Rajab is the month of Allah Almighty, and Ramadan is the purifier." If a person fasts in this month, Allah Almighty blesses him/her with 3 things: Forgiveness of past sins, protection against future sins and protection against the thirst of the Day of Judgement."
