MuhammedAli مراسلہ: 9 جولائی 2013 Report Share مراسلہ: 9 جولائی 2013 (ترمیم شدہ) Introduction:Heretical Wahhabiyah are of the belief that some eliments of Ummah of Prophet (sallalahu alayhi was'sallam) are engaged in major Shirk. To counter this heretical innovation the Ahle Sunnat use ahadith to substantiate the impossibility of Muslim Ummah of Prophet (sallalahu alayhi was'sallam) being engaged in major Shirk. In response to this evidence, the heretics quote evidence which specificly points of non-Muslim Arab Ummah falling into Shirk after the blowing of the musky fragrant wind, to argue the possibility of major Shirk and to argue the major Shirk taking place within Muslim Ummah in Arabian peninsula. This article will partly explain their misconstrued evidence to establish; the evidence of heretics is figment of their imagination and it does not refute the position of Ahle Sunnat because it refers to disbelievers who would survive Muslims after the blowing of wind. Importantly it will explain the Wahhabi evidence in the context of Ahle Sunnat's position; death of all Muslims will occur before the Day of Judgement and after their death kuffr, Shirk will dominate the earth and it will be upon these disbelievers Allah (subhanahu wa ta'ala) will bring the punishment, the destruction of earth to fulfill the promise of punishment He made.No Punishment Until Gate Of Repentance Is Closed & Muslims Are Dead:Allah (subhanahu wa ta'ala) asks the Mushrikeen:“Say: "You think, if the punishment of Allah comes to you, whether suddenly or openly, will any be destroyed except those who do wrong?” [Ref: 6:47] The rehotorical question implies the punishment will be collective punishment without excluding anyone accept believers because Allah (subhanahu wa ta'ala) stated: “But those who reject our signs,- them shall punishment touch, for that they ceased not from transgressing.” [Ref: 6:49] Question arises how will the disbelievers be punished only when entire earth will be destroyed on which there will be Muslims too? As an answer Allah (subhanahu wa ta'ala) has foretold the believers that Allah (subhanahu wa ta'ala) will not punish the disbelivers until you the Muslims are amongst them: “But Allah would not punish them while you are among them, ...” and the verse continues to add another qualifier: “... and Allah would not punish them while they seek forgiveness.” [Ref: 8:33] There are two limits here; one, they can seek forgiveness until they are alive after which the death will take over and they will be punished individually in graves. And second limit is that the kuffar can seek forgiveness until the gate of repentance are closed near the day of judgement.Gates Of Repentance Will Be Closed:Allah (subhanahu wa ta'ala) states about the Mushrikeen: “Wait they, indeed, for nothing less than that the angels should come unto them or thy Lord should come, or there should come one of the signs from your Lord?”[1] [Ref: 6:158] and then Allah (subhanahu wa ta'ala) tells them about the coming of signs after which their believing in Islam will not benefit them nor doing of good deeds after it: “In the day when one of the signs from thy Lord cometh, then their having faith will not benefit them nor the faithful will benfit if they had not already earned good deeds, Say: You wait! We (too) are waiting.” [Ref: 6:158] And the ahadith mention the last, finale event which would indicate the closing of repentance gate: "The Hour will not be established ... and till the sun rises from the West.[2] So when the sun will rise and the people will see it (rising from the West) they will all believe (embrace Islam) but that will be the time when: 'No good will it do to a soul to believe then, if it believed not before, nor earned good through its Faith.' And the Hour will be established while ...” [Ref: Bukhari, B88, H237] and in another hadith it is recorded: “Abu Mu'sa reported Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying that Allah, the Exalted and Glorious, Stretches out His Yad during the night so that the people repent for the fault committed from dawn till dusk and He stretches out His Yad daring the day so that the people may repent for the fault committed from dusk to dawn. (He would accept repentance) before the sun rises in the west. A hadith like this has been narrated on the authority of Shu'ba with the same chain of transmitters.” [Ref: Muslim, B37, H6644] The sign of beast from the earth is mentioned in the Quran: “And when the word is fulfilled concerning them, We shall bring forth a beast of the earth to speak unto them because mankind had not faith in Our revelations.” [Ref: 27:82] and in another hadith it is stated: “... I committed to memory a hadith from Allah's Messenger and I did not forget it after I had heard Allah's Messenger as saying: The first sign would be the appearance of the sun from the west, the appearance of the beast before the people in the forenoon and which of the two happens first, the second one would follow immediately after that.” [Ref: Muslim, B41, H7025]Readers should note; there are other ahadith which indicate the coming of the smoke, the general turmoil[3], the Dajjal as being indications of closing of gate of repentance: “When three things appear faith will not benefit one who has not previously believed or has derived no good from his faith: the rising of the sun in its place of setting, the Dajjal, and the beast of the earth.” [Ref: Muslim, B1, H296] and interpretation of Quranic verse: “In the day when one of the signs from thy Lord cometh, then their having faith will not benefit them nor the faithful will benfit if they had not already earned good deeds, Say: You wait! We (too) are waiting.” [Ref: 6:158] in light of coming of Isa (alayhis sallam) as a sign: “And he shall be a sign of the Hour. Therefore have no doubt about the Hour, but follow Me. That is the straight path.” [Ref: 43:61] means; Prophet Isa (alayhis salam) is also a sign of closing of gate of repentance which will happen prior to day of judgement.[4] The appearance of Jewish impostor al Masih ad-Dajjal, return of Isa (alayhis sallam), general turmoil, the smoke, would indicate the nearness of closing the gate of repentance. The actual closing of gate of repentance will be rising of sun from West, and beast of earth after which no good deeds will be rewarded nor believing in Islam would benefit anyone. And it will be after this time that Allah (subhanahu wa ta'ala) cause the Muslims to die by sending a wind to fullfil which He has promised: “But Allah would not punish them while you are among them, ...” [Ref: 8:33]The Disbelievers Asked For Punishment:The disbelievers mockingly asked for the punishment to be sent from skies if the message of Quran given to Prophet Muhammad (sallalahua layhi was'sallam) was truth: “And when they said: "O Allah! If this is indeed the truth from You, then rain down stones on us from the sky or bring on us a painful torment.'' [Ref: 8:32] in response Allah (subhanahu wa ta'ala) informs Prophet (sallalahu alayhi was'sallam): “And indeed Messengers were mocked at before you but I granted respite to those who disbelieved, and finally I punished them. Then how (terrible) was My punishment!” [Ref: 13:32] Allah (subhanahu wa ta'ala) states if:“Were He to call them to account for what they have earned, then surely, He would have hastened their punishment. But they have their appointed time, beyond which they will find no escape.” [Ref: 18:58] and finally Allah (subhanahu wa ta'ala) instructs: “The Event ordained by Allah will come to pass, so seek not to hasten it. Glorified and Exalted be He above all that they associate as partners with Him.” [Ref: 16:1] Then adressing the disbelivers Allah (subhanahu wa ta'ala) states: “And let not the disbelievers think that Our postponing of their punishment is good for them. We postpone the punishment only so that they may increase in sinfulness. And for them is a disgracing torment.” [Ref: 3:178] Allah (subhanahu wa ta'ala) focusing toward Prophet (sallalahu alayhi was'sallam) states: “And they urge you to hasten the punishment. And if not for [the decree of] a specified term, punishment would have reached them. But it will surely come to them suddenly while they perceive not.” [Ref: 29:53] in another verse Allah (subhanahu wa ta'ala) states: “And they urge you to hasten the punishment. And if not for [the decree of] a specified term, punishment would have reached them. But it will surely come to them suddenly while they perceive not.”[5] [Ref: 29:53]Allah Will Take The Life Of Muslims By Gentle Wind:Prophet (sallalahu alayhi was'sallam) foretold: “The hour will not come until tribes (i.e. qabail) of my Ummah join the polytheists and worship idols. And in my Ummah there will be thirty liars each of them will claim he is a Prophet. While I am the Seal (i.e. Last) of Prophets. There is no Prophet after me.” [Ref: Tirmadhi, B36, H2226] “The Last Hour would not come until the women of the tribe of Daus would be seen going round Dhi al-Khalasa[6] (for worship) and Dhi al-Khalasa is a place in tabala, where there was a temple in which the people of the tribe of Daus used to worship the idol." [Ref: Muslim, B41, H6944] and in another hadith with slight variation of wording: "The Hour will not be established till the buttocks of the women of the tribe of Daus move while going round Dhi-al-Khalasa." Dhi-al-Khalasa was the idol of the Daus tribe which they used to worship in the Pre Islamic Period of ignorance.” [Ref: Bukhari, B88, H232] When Prophet (sallalahu alayhi was'sallam) said: “The (system) of night and day would not end until the people have taken to the worship of Lat and 'Uzza.” [Ref: Muslim, B41, H6945] Hadhrat Aysha (radiallah ta'ala anha) said him about his statement: “Allah's Messenger, I think when Allah has revealed this verse: "He it is Who has sent His Messenger with right guidance, and true religion, so that He may cause it to prevail upon all religions, though the polytheists are averse (to it)", it implies that is going to be fulfilled.” Then Prophet (sallalahu alayhi was'sallam) replied: “It would happen as Allah would like. Then Allah would send the sweet fragrant air by which everyone who has even a mustard grain of faith in Him would die[7] and those only would survive who would have no goodness in them." [Ref: Muslim, B41, H6945] “... and only the wicked would survive who would commit adultery like asses and the Last Hour would come to them.” [Ref: Muslim, B041, H7015] “Only the wicked people would survive and they would be as careless as birds with the charactertistics of beasts. They would never appreciate the good nor condemn evil.” [Ref: Muslim B 41, H 7023] Describing the characteristics of the wind would be pleasant: “... wind which will be fragrant like musk and whose touch will be like the touch of silk; (but) it will cause the death of all (faithful) persons, not leaving behind a single person with an iota of faith in his heart. Then only the worst of men will remain to be overwhelmed by the Hour. ” [Ref: Muslim, B20, H4721] Another hadith makes it absolutely clear that no Muslims will be left: “... Allah would send a pleasant wind which would soothe (people) even under their armpits, and would take the life of every Muslim and only the wicked would survive who would commit adultery like asses and the Last Hour would come to them.” [Ref: Muslim, B041, H7015] and that will be a time when “... the milch camel would give such (a large quantity of) milk that the whole tribe would be able to drink out of that and the milch sheep would give so much milk that the whole family would be able to drink out of that and ...” [Ref: Muslim, B041, H7015] in other words: “... they would have abundance of sustenance and lead comfortable lives.”[8] [Ref: Muslim B 41, H 7023]After The Death Of Muslims Some Arabs Disbelievers Will Revert To Idolatry:At this stage Allah (subhanahu wa ta'ala) would have fullfilled his promise of: “But Allah would not punish them while you are among them, and Allah would not punish them while they seek forgiveness.” [Ref: 8:33] by sending musky silk like wind which would have taken the life of believers: “... Allah would send a pleasant wind which would soothe (people) even under their armpits, and would take the life of every Muslim and ...” [Ref: Muslim, B041, H7015] and the gates of repentance for kuffar will be firmly shut: “In the day when one of the signs from thy Lord cometh, then their having faith will not benefit them nor the faithful will benfit if they had not already earned good deeds, Say: You wait! We (too) are waiting.” [Ref: 6:158] Then the remaining disbelievers will be visited by Shaytan in human form and then he would say: “Don't you respond? And they would say: What do you order us?” Shaytan would: “... command them to worship the idols but, in spite of this, they would have abundance of sustenance and lead comfortable lives.” [Ref: Muslim B41, H7023] “... they would revert to the religion of their forefathers." [Ref: Muslim, B41, H6945] It would be after inciting of Shaytan that Arabs would worship Lat, Uzza, Dhi Al Khalasa and then the women of tribe of Daws will dance rotating their buttocks while making Tawaf of their ancesterial idol.“Then only the worst of men will remain to be overwhelmed by the Hour.” [Ref: Muslim, B20, H4721] “Then the trumpet would be blown and no one would hear that but he would bend his neck to one side and raise it from the other side ...” [Ref: Muslim B 41, H 7023] as if one is attempting to listen to where the sound is coming from.Shirk & Kuffr Will Be The Order Of Earth:Imam Mahdi and return of Isa (alayhis sallam) both will fight in the cause of Allah (subhanahu wa ta'ala) to establish the superiority of deen of Islam over those who will oppose it. And with means of their struggle Allah (subhanahu wa ta'ala) will fullfil the promise of Islam dominating all the religions of earth: “It is He Who has sent His Messenger with guidance and the religion of truth (Islam), to make it superior over all religions even though the polytheists hate (it).” [Ref: 9:33] After which Allah (subhanahu wa ta'ala) will cause all the Muslims of earth to die. The remaining disbelievers of Arabian peninsula and the Kafirs in general will revert to idolatry and worship idols of their pre-islamic ancestors: “It would happen as Allah would like. Then Allah would send the sweet fragrant air by which everyone who has even a mustard grain of faith in Him would die and those only would survive who would have no goodness in them. And they would revert to the religion of their forefathers." [Ref: Muslim, B41, H6945] And a hadith records the saying of Prophet (sallalahu alayhi was'sallam): "The Hour will not come until no-one on earth says 'La ilaha il-lallah.'" [Ref: M.I.Ahmad, Hadith 13833] It means there will be no anyone left to teach, believe, or to say the teaching of Tawheed: “There is no god except Allah.” The ignorance about Allah (subhanahu wa ta'ala) reach to such a level there will be no one left on earth to remember Allah (subhanahu wa ta'ala) by His personel name: “It was also reported from Anas that the Prophet (sallallahu alayhe was'sallam) said: "The Hour will not come until no-one on earth says, 'Allah, Allah'."[9] [Ref: M.I.Ahmad,Hadith 12044] At such time of ignorance Allah (subhanahu wa ta'ala) will inflict the punishment, the torment, upon the kuffar which He has promised that it would preceed before judgement day: “A questioner asked concerning a torment about to befall. Upon the disbelievers, which none can avert[10]. From Allah, the Lord of the ways of ascent. The angels and the Ruh ascend to Him in a Day the measure whereof is fifty thousand years. So be patient with a good patience. Verily! They see it (i.e. coming of punishment) impossible far off. But We see it near.” [Ref: 70:1/7]In the past majority of inhabitants of earth were polytheists: "Say: "Travel in the land and see what was the end of those before (you)! Most of them were Mushrikun.[11]" [Ref: 30:42] And it is observed that marjority of people of earth at present are polytheists; Christians, Hindu's, Buddhist's and these religions have beliefe in a Supreme God as well as subordinate gods, under the command of Supreme God hence the verse: “And most of them believe in Allah except that they attribute partners unto Him.”[12] [Ref: 12:106] identifies the current state of earth not just of past. Therefore a educated assumption is that in future majority who would survive the blowing of wind will eventually revert to polytheism. As part of world wide revival of polytheism and Arabs reverting to polytheistic religion of their ancestors would be part of this revival.[13]The Trumpet Will Be Blown To Signal The Coming Judgement Day:The beginning of greater destruction on earth will begin with blowing of the trumpet. When the trumpet is blown the first time the mountains will be turned to dust: “Then when the Trumpet will be blown with one blowing (the first one). And the earth and the mountains shall be removed from their places, and crushed with a single crushing.” [Ref: 69:13/15] and another verse more detail:“And you will see the mountains and think them solid, but they shall pass away as the passing away of the clouds. The Work of Allah, Who perfected all things, verily He is Well-Acquainted with what you do.” [Ref: 27:88] Earth will be levelled plain with the crumbling of mountains: “And (remember) the Day We shall cause the mountains to pass away (like clouds of dust), and you will see the earth as a levelled plain, and[14] ... [Ref: 18:47] This global level destruction will spread fear: “And [warn of] the Day the Trumpet will be blown, and whoever is in the heavens and whoever is on the earth will be terrified except whom Allah wills.” [Ref: 27:87] and the fear would be so much that it will cause the child carers to neglect children, pregnant women will have miscrage: “On the Day you see it every nursing mother will be distracted from that [child] she was nursing, and every pregnant woman will abort her pregnancy, and you will see the people [appearing] intoxicated while they are not intoxicated; but the punishment of Allah is severe.” [Ref: 22:2] At this critical time, the verse states that people would swoon: “And the Trumpet will be blown, and all who are in the heavens and all who are on the earth will swoon[15] (i.e. die) away, except him whom God wills.”[Ref: 39:68] The hadith of Prophet (sallalahu alayhi was'sallam) explains that swoon is in meaning of death. After the death of inhabitants of earth Allah (subhanahu wa ta'ala) will then roll back universe and then the big bang will repeat again: "'The day' when, We shall roll up the heavens as a recorder rolls up a written scroll.[16] As We began the first creation We shall repeat it." [Ref: 21:104] The first creation was began with big bang, and living creatures were created from water: "Have not "those who disbelieve" known that heavens and earth were of one piece, We parted them and, We made every living thing of water, will they not then believe?" [Ref: 21:30] So the second creation will begin with big bang and the living will return to life with water. Allah (subhanahu wa ta'ala) will send a rain as explained by Prophet (sallalahu alayhi was'sallam): “Then Allah will send rain like dew and bodies of people will grow from it[17], then the trumpet will be blown again and they will stand up and begin to look around.” [Ref: Muslim, B41, H7023] The fallowing verses are the basis of content of hadith:“... and behold! From the graves they will come out quickly to their Lord.” [Ref: 36:51]“.., and at once they will be standing, looking on.” [Ref: 39:68]Conclusion:Allah (subhanahu wa ta'ala) has stated that he will not punish the disbelievers for their disbelief until they can repent from their non-Islamic ways and nor He would punish them while the Muslims live amongst them. The final limit for the seeking of forgiveness is before death and before closing of the gate of repentance as well as the death of Muslims which will take place when Allah (subhanahu wa ta'ala) will send a gentle, smooth, fragrant wind which will take the lives of all believers. Leaving behind the kuffar out of which some will revert to idolatry especially some of the Arabs. Who would worship the idol gods of their ancestors; Lat, Uzza and Dhi Al Khalasa. And it will be time when kuffr and Shirk will be the order of the day and none will be encourage good nor prohibit evil. Then trumpet will be blown it will strike fear in the hearts of disbelievers, the pregnant women will have miscraige and all people of would die, the mountains will crumble to dust and Allah (subhanahu wa ta'ala) will reverse the expansion of universe until it reaches to stage of Big Bang. Then he will command it to explode into being again as it did the first time and a similar earth will be created again: "On the day when the earth will be changed to other than this earth and the heavens also And they will come forth unto God, The One The Almighty." [Ref: 14: 48] Upon it Allah (subhanahu wa ta'ala) cause the rain to decend and when the second trumpet is blown the dead will rise from their graves.Wama alayna ilal balaghul mubeen.Muhammed Ali RazaviFootnotes:- [1] “... reported the saying of Prophet, Allah's words: “...or there should come one of the signs from your Lord?” He said; (These signs include) the rising of the sun from the West.” [Ref: Tirmadhi, H3082, English]- [2] When the sun rises from the West all the disbelievers will believe in Allah (subhanahu wa ta'ala) has their One, the Only God, Prophet Muhammad (sallalahu alayhi was'sallam) as their Prophet, and Quran as the relevation of Allah (subhanahu wa ta'ala): “... and the people see it, they all will believe.” But it will be in a time when believing will do: “ And that is (the time) when no good will it do to a soul to believe then." because the the potent signs of the impending doom would be clear as day: “In the day when one of the signs from thy Lord cometh, then their having faith will not benefit them nor the faithful will benfit if they had not already earned good deeds, Say: You wait! We (too) are waiting.” [Ref: Bukhari, B60, H160] - [3] “Hasten in performing these good deeds (before these) six things (happen): (the appearance) of tribe Dajjal, the smoke, the beast of the earth, the rising of the sun from the west, the general turmoil (leading to large-scale massacre) and death of masses and individuals.” [Ref: Muslim, B41, H7040]- [4] Accepting appearance of Dajjal and Prophet Isa (alayhis salam) as sign of closing of gate of repentance means that gate of repentance would be closed with their arrival. Hence any deed done thereafter would not benefit and it will end the possibility of spread of Islam but this would contradict the ahadith which stipulate Hadhrat Isa (alayhis salam) will fight for the cause of Islam. And he will abolish Jaziya (i.e. a tax for non-muslims) which means he will abrogate the traditional practice of offering to non-Muslims; Islam or Jaziya and replace it with; Islam or death. Refusal to accept Islam will mean certain death and only acceptance of Islam would save a non-Muslims life. Now if the gate of repentance was closed with appearnce of Dajjal, even before the arrival of Hadhrat Isa (alayhis salam) then offer of acceptance of Islam would be meaningless. Note: I have found it extremely difficult to reconcile these ahadith with each other. So it would be help if someone can shed some light on the issue. Despite the difficulties a harmonised account is presented. If I have written anything which challenges established scholarship of Ahle Sunnat of past or present, please fallow the guidance of those Ulamah on this issue. Allah knows best.- [5] In interpretation of: “But it will surely come to them suddenly while they perceive not.” [Ref: 29:53] Prophet (sallalahu alayhi was'sallam) foretold the swiftness of the destruction preceeding day of judgement and the daily activities of people: “And the Hour will be established while two men spreading a garment in front of them but they will not be able to sell it, nor fold it up; and the Hour will be established when a man has milked his she-camel and has taken away the milk but he will not be able to drink it; and the Hour will be established before a man repairing a tank (for his livestock) is able to water (his animals) in it; and the Hour will be established when a person has raised a morsel (of food) to his mouth but will not be able to eat it." [Ref: Bukhari, B88, H237] This indicates that people of earth will be engaged in their daily activities and will have no knowledge of impending nor will they percieve the coming of doom as well as of the swiftness of the destruction that will overtake the people.- [6] Prophet (sallalahu alayhi was'sallam) said: "Will you relieve me from Dhi-al-Khalasa? " Dhi-al-Khalasa was an idol which the people used to worship and it was (also) called Al-Ka'ba al Yamaniyya.” Hadhrat Jarir replied: "O Allah's Apostle I am a man who can't sit firm on horses." So he stroked my chest (with his hand) and said, "O Allah! Make him firm and make him a guiding and well-guided man." So I went out with fifty (men) from my tribe of Ahrnas ... and came to Dhi-al-Khalasa and burnt it, ...” then he came back to Prophet (sallalahu alayhi was'sallam) and informed him of success in burning the idol: "O Allah's Apostle! I have not come to you till I left it like a camel with a skin disease." Upon hearing the news: “The Prophet then invoked good upon Ahmas and their cavalry.” [Ref: Bukhari, B75, H345]- [7] Prophet (sallalahu alayhi was'sallam) said: "If Allah wants to do a favor to somebody, He bestows on him, the gift of understanding the Quran and Sunna. I am but a distributor, and Allah is the Giver. The state of this nation will remain good till the Hour is established, or till Allah's Order comes." [Ref: Bukhari, B92, H415] The coming Order would be of blowing of wind: “Then Allah would send cold wind from the side of Syria that none would survive upon the earth having a speck of good in him or faith in him but he would die, so much so that even if some amongst you were to enter the innermost part of the mountain, this wind would reach that place also and that would cause his death.” [Ref: Muslim B 41, H 7023] After which the state of Ummah would change from good to bad: “Only the wicked people would survive and they would be as careless as birds with the charactertistics of beasts. They would never appreciate the good nor condemn evil.” [Ref: Muslim B 41, H 7023] in another hadith Prophet (sallalahu alayhi was'sallam) said: “... Allah would send a pleasant wind which would soothe (people) even under their armpits, and would take the life of every Muslim and ...” [Ref: Muslim, B041, H7015]- [8] Allah (subhanahu wa ta'ala) states that rich people of the cities disbelieve in the Prophets and the message they brought: “And We did not send a warner to a township but those who were given the worldly wealth and luxuries among them said: "We believe not in the (Message) with which you have been sent." [Ref: 34:34] And the hadith states that the rich people would worship idols and reject the religion of Islam after the blowing of wind.- [9] It is practice of Ahlus Sunnah especially those who are inclined toward Sufi tariqa (i.e. way, path, method) of self purification, rectification; they remember Allah (subhanahu wa ta'ala) by reciting continously: ' La ilaha il-lallah.' and then in the finale stage the zikr (i.e. remeberance) of Allah (subhanahu wa ta'ala) is purely with continous repeating of : Allah, Allah, Allah. In this context the saying of Prophet (sallalahu alayhi was'sallam): "The Hour will not come until no-one on earth says, 'Allah, Allah'." could also mean that there will be no Zikr of Allah (subhanahu wa ta'ala) because the Muslims as well as the Ahle Sunnat would have died after the blowing of gentle breeze.- [10] “And Our punishment cannot be warded off from the people who are Mujrimun (i.e. criminals, sinners, disbelievers, polytheists).” [Ref: 12:110]- [11] Prophet (sallalahu alayhi was'sallam) stated in presence of: “... about forty men, were with the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) in a camp when he said: Aren't you pleased that they should constitute one-fourth of the inhabitants of Paradise? He (the narrator) said: Yes. He (the Holy Prophet) again said: Aren't you pleased that you should constitute one-third of the inhabitants of Paradise? They said: Yes. Upon this he again said: By Him in Whose Hand is my life, I hope that you would constitute one-half of the inhabitants of Paradise and the reason is that no one would be admitted into Paradise but a believer and you are no more among the polytheists than as a white hair on the skin of a black ox or a black hair on the skin of a red ox.” [Ref: Muslim, B1, H428] This hadith makes it clear that Mushrikeen were majority in the time of Prophet (sallalahu alayhi was'sallam) and will remain overwhelming majority till the destruction of inhabitants of earth is carried out: And most of them believe in Allah except that they attribute partners unto Him.” [Ref: 12:106] Allah (subhanahu wa ta'ala) invites to examine the pre-Islamic era and declares: "Say: "Travel in the land and see what was the end of those before (you)! Most of them were Mushrikun.! " [Ref: 30:42] So in pre-Islamic era and post Islamic era the majority was, majority will be of Mushrikeen by the ratio mentioned by Prophet (sallalahu alayhi was'sallam).- [12] According to the primary historical context of the verse: “And most of them believe in Allah except that they attribute partners unto Him.” [Ref: 12:106] The verse means; most of the inhabitants of Arabian peninsula at the time of revelation of this verse were polytheists who believed in Allah (subhanahu wa ta'ala) as their God but attributed partners to Him. But this verse is not specific about a region or group of people. It is general therefore as long as conditions of the verse is fullfilled it can be applied to any region, any group of people, or even entire people of earth.- [13] Allah knows best about the actual reality of the belives of people. Readers are not obligated to believe in any aspect of this assumption and it would not effect negatively upon their aqeedah if one doesn't believe so. The fundamental belief which must be confirmed to be a Muslim is; the coming of judgement day and all its desruction will be inflicted upon disbelievers.- [14] “And (remember) the Day We shall cause the mountains to pass away (like clouds of dust), and you will see the earth as a levelled plain, and [after the second trumpet blows] we shall gather them all together so as to leave not one of them behind.” [Ref: 18:47]- [15] Prophet (sallalahu alayhi was'sallam) explained; Allah (subhanahu wa ta'ala) will send a rain which will cause the dead people to grow out of earth as vegetation grows:“Then the trumpet would be blown and no one would hear that but he would bend his neck to one side and raise it from the other side (i.e. trying to hear the sound) and the first one to hear that trumpet would be the person who would be busy in setting right the tank meant for providing water to the camels. He would swoon and the other people would also swoon, then Allah would send or He would cause to send rain which would be like dew and there would grow out of it the bodies of the people. Then the second trumpet would be blown and they would stand up and begin to look (around). Then it would be said: O people, go to your Lord, and make them stand there. And they would be questioned. Then it would be said: Bring out a group (out of them) for the Hell-Fire. And then it would be asked: How much? It would be said: Nine hundred and ninty-nine out of one thousand for the Hell-Fire and that would be the day which would make the children old because of its terror and that would be the day about which it has been said:" On the day when the shank would be uncovered.” [Ref: Muslim, Book 41, Hadith 7023]- [16] The explosion of unimaginably dense matter which resulted in the universe and its continous expansion is called the Big Bang theory. The scientist community now believes in theory contraction of the universe to the point of starting. (i.e. Big Crunch). This theory states if the expansion of universe does not exceed the escape velocity then the combined gravitational attraction of all matter within the universe will cause it to contract to the point where it started and then the Big Bang will repeat. This theory accords with this teaching of Quranic verse, Allah knows better.- [17] The growing of bodies from earth after the rain is explained in the verse: “He brings out the living from the dead, and brings out the dead from the living. And He revives the earth after its death. And thus shall you be brought out (resurrected).” [Ref: 30:19] Allah (subhanahu wa ta'ala) states He brings out the living from the dead and in the same way Allah (subhanahu wa ta'ala) will bring the dead humans beings to life for judgement day. The question is how does Allah (subhanahu wa ta'ala) achieve this feet: “... in the rain which Allah Sends down from the skies, and the life which He gives therewith to an earth that is dead; ... (Here) indeed are Signs for a people that are wise.” [Ref: 2:164] Another verse states: “Verily! It is Allah Who causes the seed-grain and the fruit-stone (like date-stone) to split and sprout. He brings forth the living from the dead, and it is He Who brings forth the dead from the living. Such is Allah, then how are you deluded away from the truth?” [Ref: 6:95] This establishes Allah (subhanahu wa ta'ala) brings out the living from dead via seeds and rain water. This is affirmed in another verse of the Quran:“It is He Who sends the winds like heralds of glad tidings, going before His mercy: when they have carried the heavy-laden clouds, We drive them to a land that is dead, make rain to descend thereon, and produce every kind of harvest therewith: thus shall We raise up the dead: perchance ye may remember.” [Ref: 7:57] and in verse: “Then contemplate (O man!) the memorials of Allah's Mercy! How He gives life to the earth after its death: verily the same will give life to the men who are dead: for He has power over all things.” [Ref: 30:50] In conclusion just as vegetation grows out of dead earth the mankind will be ressurected in similar fashion.
