Alteejani مراسلہ: 27 اکتوبر 2010 Report Share مراسلہ: 27 اکتوبر 2010 (ترمیم شدہ) see how our elite sold our country, below is exactly what US demands based on their needs and plans for the region. 1. US wants total and unconditional, unrestricted assistance from Pakistan in fighting the Afghan resistance. That means putting Pakistan on war path with Mullah Omar, Haqqani and Hekmatyar. Military operation in North Waziristan to be initiated and drone strikes to continue without any restrictions. ---------------------------------------------------------------- CIA says Al Qaeda, Haqqanis seriously damaged ---------------------------------------------------------------- By Our Correspondent WASHINGTON, Oct 20: Stepped-up CIA operations in Pakistan have seriously damaged Al Qaeda and the Haqqani network, says the CIA chief who also praised Pakistani intelligence agencies for supporting the effort. Speaking to a small group of journalists on Tuesday, CIA Director Leon E. Panetta said the stepped-up campaign was ―taking a serious toll on the Haqqani network. ―All of that, I think, must be having an impact, he said.In a separate memo to his staff, the CIA chief also acknowledged ―missteps and ―shortcomings that allowed a would-be informant to enter a US base in Afghanistan and blow himself up on December 30, killing seven CIA officers... http://www.dawn.com/...sly-damaged-100 2. US want uninterrupted supply line for NATO and US forces in Afghanistan. 3. US want to re-shape the political profile of Pakistan, insisting that all those elements that are hostile to US policies within the government must be removed. The main man US hate is Governor NWFP Owais Ghani. PPP government has already initiated the move to remove him to be replaced with someone US can rely upon. 4. US want to have aggressive presence into Pakistani State and private media to control its direction, content and use it as a psy-ops weapon to re-program the collective national psyche of Pakistani nation. Training of hundreds of journalists in US, buying private channels, openingdirect American channels and controlling the Radio Pakistan and PTV are the important steps. Blocking anti-American analysts, journalists and anchors is also part of the strategy. 5. In the name of social development, aid and donations, empower the western NGO‟s and sub-nationalist provincial governments to bypass the federal government to directly embark on US projects without any federal and legal control of the Pakistani State. With ANP, BLA sympathizers and MQM already in power in NWFP, Baluchistan and Sindh, this task of the Americans is rather smooth. The 18th amendment has also cleared the path for provincial autonomy paving the way for complete succession. The role of ANP in creating a rift over Hazara community and moon sighting are just two examples. 6. US want to limit military and economic cooperation between Pakistan and China, especially on nuclear deals. All details on pak-China nuke deals are demanded by the US. -------------------------------------------------------------- US seeks details of China-Pakistan nuclear deal -------------------------------------------------------------- By Our Correspondent WASHINGTON, Oct 21: US envoy Richard Holbrooke said on Thursday that the United States had asked Pakistan to provide more information about a civilian nuclear arrangement it had concluded with China. In an interview to visiting Pakistani journalists, the US special representative for Pakistan and Afghanistan also emphasised the need for a military action against the militants hiding in North Waziristan... http://www.dawn.com/...uclear-deal-200 ---------------------------------------------------------------- Civilian N-technology discussed ---------------------------------------------------------------- WASHINGTON: The United States and Pakistan have also discussed the possibility of providing Islamabad civilian nuclear technology for meeting the country‘s energy needs but no decisions have been taken yet, US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said on Friday. Addressing a joint news conference with Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi at the end of three-day strategic talks, she also said that Pakistan‘s place on the talks for a future set-up in Afghanistan was also discussed. ―We had a very long discussion on Afghanistan, she added... http://www.dawn.com/...y-discussed-300 7. A highly conditional military package of $2bn dollars is being offered as carrot to the army to behave. It is like a post dated cheque which can be cancelled anytime army creates difficulty for the US interests, like blocking NATO supplies or not waging a war against Afghan Taliban. The allegations of HR violations on army are also part of this carrot and stick doctrine to increase pressure. ---------------------------------------------------------------- US offers $2bn military aid ---------------------------------------------------------------- By Anwar Iqbal WASHINGTON, Oct 22: The United States announced a $2 billion military aid package for Pakistan on the final day of the latest US-Pakistan strategic dialogue. The aid pledge, announced by Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, provides a long-term US security commitment along the lines of the five-year, $7.5 billion civilian aid package approved by Congress last year. Unlike previous military aid approved on a yearly basis, this is a five-year package. The aid will pay for equipment needed in counter-insurgency and counter-terror operations, among other things... http://www.dawn.com/...ilitary-aid-300 8. US want ISI to be under civilian control, making Interior Ministry more powerful instead. ISI is seriously resisting CIA‟s attempts to expand its operations in Pakistan. When CIA was allowed to create such ―anti-terror‖ units in tribal areas during Musharraf era, they created TTP instead of capturing Osama Bin Laden. Now ISI is more cautious obviously making CIA furious. ---------------------------------------------------------------- US request for allowing more CIA staff rejected ---------------------------------------------------------------- By Anwar Iqbal WASHINGTON, Oct 23: Islamabad has rejected Washington‘s requests for deputing additional CIA personnel to Pakistan because it remains ―extremely wary‖ of a larger US ground presence, the Wall Street Journal reported on Saturday. According to the newspaper, the United States wants to expand a secret Central Intelligence Agency operation in Pakistan designed to eliminate militant havens near the Afghan border... http://www.dawn.com/...ff-rejected-400 9. The entire NADRA database, air line travel data and access into Pakistan‟s telecom networks are also demanded. Washington Post: How Europe puts America at risk « Center for ... 11 Oct 2010... with Pakistan has been access to airline passenger data. ... Understandably, the administration wants to know which Europeans and ... tavivootuniverse.wordpress.com/.../Washington-post-how-europe-puts-america-at-risk/ Just to remind our readers that PPP government has accepted all the above conditions, army has not; hence still major hurdles remain for the US policy makers. General Kayani is one man army when it comes to protecting Pakistan‘s strategic core interests within the government. He had Owais Ghani as an ally but now OG is being targeted by the Americans as well. Deadly trap is being laid around Pakistan whose objectives are far beyond support to US in Afghanistan. The political elements have all compromised the national security and honor. A Final showdown seems to be close within Pakistan‘spolitical and security establishment as well while the Americans aggressively try to exploit the crumbling regime. Pakistan also wanted US to get involved in Kashmir, to increase pressure on Indians and to give preferential treatment to Pakistan for trade and business access but Obama administration resisted on the suggestions, irritating Pakistani military leadership. This is the harsh, stalk and shameful reality of these ―strategic dialogues‖ where the traffic was only one way in almost a master-slave relationship with humiliating conditions despite abusing Pakistan‘s alliance for last 10 years. ---------------------------------------------------------------- Pakistan feels US has let it down ---------------------------------------------------------------- By Khaleeq Kiani ISLAMABAD, Oct 17: In the run-up to the third round of strategic dialogue, Pakistani authorities are getting irritated over the lack of US interest in resolving the country‘s long-term regional issues and in providing economic support despite publicly declaring it a key ally in the war on terror and appreciating its sacrifices. The authorities are also dissatisfied with the ‗triple accounting‘ by the United States of its economic assistance to Pakistan, although the overall assistance remained less than $1.5 billion in a year. They also grumble that Pakistan has not been given market access for its products they believe it deserves in comparison to other countries... http://www.dawn.com/...let-it-down-800 ---------------------------------------------------------------- Obama urged to „redeem the pledge‟ on Kashmir ---------------------------------------------------------------- WASHINGTON, Oct 22: Pakistan called on Friday for President Barack Obama to intervene in its longstanding dispute with India over Kashmir. Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi made the unusually blunt appeal for Mr Obama to seek a resolution of the dispute when he visits India next month, saying he should ‗‘redeem the pledge‘‘ he made as a candidate... http://www.dawn.com/.../the-newspaper/ Edited 27 اکتوبر 2010 by Alteejani اقتباس
