www.truecolorsofislam.com Illustrious Family and Birth Taajush Shariah,Hadrat Allama Mufti Mohammed Akhtar Raza Khan Azhari al-Qaadiri, son ofMufassir-e-A?zam, Hadrat Maulana Ibrahim Raza Khan (radi Allahu anhu),son of Hujjatul Islam, Hadrat Maulana Haamid Raza Khan (radi Allahuanhu), son of Imam-e-Ahle Sunnah, Mujaddid-e-Deen-o-Millat, Ash ShahImam Ahmad Raza Khan (radi Allahu anhu) was born on the 25th of Safar1942, in the district of Saudagran with in the city of BareillyShareef, India. The name given duringhis Aqeeqah was "Mohammed". He was also given the name "IsmailRaza."However, the name by which he is famously known is Akhtar Raza. When he reached thetender age of 4 years, 4 months, 4 days, his respected father, HadratMaulana Ibrahim Raza (radi Allahu anhu), who was a great IslamicScholar of his age, arranged for his "Bismillah Kwaani"(Commencement of Islamic Studies). His eminent maternal grandfather, Ghousul Waqt,Mufti-e-Azam-e-Hind, Hadrat Maulana Shah Mustapha Raza Khan Noori (radiAllahu anhu), performed the traditional "Bismillah Kwaani" All the students of the famous Darul Uloom Manzare Islam, which was originally built by Sayyiduna Ala Hadrat, were invited to this auspiciousfunction. Early Education His mother, who isthe blessed and pious daughter of Huzoor Mufti-e-Azam-e-Hind (radiAllahu anhu), showed great concern for his study as she was certainthat he would be the Khalifah (Spiritual Successor), of HuzoorMufti-e-Azam-e-Hind (radi Allahu anhu). Peer-o-Murshid,Hadrat Allama Akhtar Raza Khan Qibla gained his basic Islamic educationwithin his blessed home and he completed the basic recitation and studyof the Holy Quran under the guidance of his respected mother. He thenstudied further under the guidance of his most respected father. Having completed hisbasic studies at home, Hadrat Maulana Ibrahim Raza Khan (radi Allahuanhu) enrolled him in Darul Uloom Manzare Islam in Bareilly Shareef.Here, under the guidance of renowned teachers, he studied many books,commencing with the basics such as, Mizaan, Munsha'ib, Nohmeer andproceeding to much more advanced books such as Hidaya Akhirain, etc. Education at the Al Azhar University In 1963, at the age21, he was sent to Cairo in Egypt to study at the famous Al AzharUniversity. He studied Tafseer of the Holy Quran and Ahadith foe3 yearsat this Islamic University. It has been stated that even as a child, hewas very intelligent, a person of great wisdom and possessed anexcellent memory. While studying at the Al Azhar University, teachersand students were surprised when he conversed with them in superiorArabic. When he spoke to them, they would often look stunned at hismastery over the Arabic language. The examinationsconducted at Al Azhar University are mostly done in writing, howeverthe general knowledge sections are tested orally. It is stated thatwhen the students were asked general knowledge questions by theexaminer, none of them were able to answer these questions. Theexaminer used to then direct these questions to Taajush Shariah, HadratAllama Mufti Mohammed Akhtar Raza Khan Azhari al-Qaadiri. He used toreply to each question in such an intelligent manner that it oftensurprised the examiner. When the examiner questioned him on how hemanaged to answer intricate questions on the topic of Ilm-e-Kalam(Knowledge of Imaan), even though he was only studying Ahadith and theprinciples of Ahadith, he used to reply I studied this subject while Iwas still a student at Darul Uloom Manzare Islam. He also used toachieve first position during every examination. His studies continuedat the Al Azhar University and he began achieving more success in theacademic field as the days passed. He achieved the distinction of beingone of the best foreign students to have studied at Al AzharUniversity. Even till this day, ex-students of the Al Azhar University still remember him is this fashion. In one famous monthlymagazine, this distinction was echoed in the following words:Thegrandson of Huzoor Hujjatul Islam, Maulana Haamid Raza Khan and the sonof Jilani Mia, Hadrat Ibrahim Raza Khan graduated with a B.A. degree inArabic in a most worthy and excellent manner. HIS EMINENCE DID NOT ONLYCOME FIRST WITHIN THE CONFINES OF THE AL AZHAR UNIVERSITY, BUT ALSOFIRST IN THE WHOLE OF CAIRO. May Allah grant him more success, make himworthy of propagation, and may be known as the true Successor of AlaHadrat .Ameen. Upon graduating fromthe Al Azhar University, Hadrat Allama Akhtar Raza Khan Azhari wasawarded the "Jamia Azhar Award" by Colonel Jamaal Abdul Nassir. He wasalso presented with a Certificate of Merit in the field of Ahadith.After graduating and receiving the Al Azhar Award, he returned home tocontinue his Islamic mission. A photocopy of theCertificate in Arabic awarded to his Eminence at Al Azhar Universityhas been presented. This Certificate was awarded to him in hisfaculties of Ahadith and the Principles of Ahadith. ---------------------------- www.truecolorsofislam.com---------------------------- Hazrat Pir Syed Mehr ‘Ali Shah of Golra Sharif (to be referred to hereinafter simply as “Hadrat”) was a descendent, on his father’s side, of Hazrat Syedna Ghaus- e- Azam Shaikh ‘ Abdul Qadir Jilani in the 25th generation, and of the Holy Prophet of Islam through Syedna Hasan ibn ‘Ali in the 38th generation. On the side of his mother, he was descended from Hazrat Ghaus-e-Azam in the 24th generation and from the Holy Prophet through Syedna Husain ibn ‘Ali in the 37th generation. Two of Hazrat’s ancestors,Pir Syed Roshan Din Shah and Pir Syed Rasul Shah in the year 1211 A.H. by the then head of Syedna Ghaus-e-Azam’s shrine at Baghdad (Iraq), Hazrat Syed habib-e-Mustafa Ibn Syed Qasim Qadiri. This testimonial is preserved in original in Golra Sharif’s shrine records, and its text is reproduced below. “in point of ancestry and lineage, these two gentlemen, Pir Syed Roshan Din Shah and Pir Syed Rasul Din Shah, are the off-spring of Hazrat Syedna Shaikh ‘Abdul Qadir Jilani. In point of grace and blessedness, they are his true heirs and legatees, and I regard them as my own sons. Devotees of the exalted Qadiriyah Silsilah (chain) should therefore regard their hand as my hand and their word as my word.” Hazrat Syed Pir Meher Ali Shah (R.A)was born on Monday, 1st Ramadan, 1275 A.H (14th April 1859 A.D) inGolra Sharif. Attributes Of The Holy Prophet (SalAllahuAlaiheWaSallam) 1.Allah Almighty, first of all created ''Noor'' (light) of Hazrat Muhammad Mustafa (may Allah's choicest blessings & peace be upon him) and then created all the worlds from his Noor. Had he not been created nothing would have been created. He is the soul of all universes. 2.Allah Almighty took covenant from all Prophets that if Hazrat Muhammad (peace be upon him) came in their time they would certainly believe in him and help him. 3.The Holy Prophet is the best and highest of all and so is his family. No one like him has been born and even will not be born. 4.At the time of his birth all idols placed in holy Ka'abah fell flat and there was a surge of luminous light that his (revered) mother saw the palaces of the king of Syria. 5.The Holy Prophet was shadowless being ''Noor'' (light) through and through because Noor has no shadow. 6.A piece of cloud often hung over his head and trees rushed towards him to provide cool shelter under the burning sun though he was not yet declared Prophet formally. 7.Fragrance emanated from his blessed body and sweat which surpassed the sweet odour of musk and saffron and whichever way he passed would become fragrant. 1-SHAHADA The Shahada is the Muslim profession of faith and the first of the ‘Five Pillars’ of Islam. The word shahada in Arabic means ‘testimony.’ Kalma-e-Shahada is as follows: It is to testify to two things: (a) Nothing deserves worship except Allah. ( Muhammad (SalAllahuAlaiheWasallam) is the Messenger of Allah. 2-SALAAH Namaaz is the first Fardh in Islam after Imaan and Aqeeda. The excellence of Salaah can be derived from this, that all the other Faraa'idh were revealed on earth, but Namaaz was granted to Rasoolullah (Sal Allahu Alaihe Wa Sallam) on the night of Me'raj even further than the Arsh and Kursi Salah is the daily ritual prayer enjoined upon all Muslims as one of the five Pillars of Islam. It is performed five times a day by all Muslims. Salah is a precise worship, different from praying on the inspiration of the moment. Muslims pray or, perhaps more correctly, worship five times throughout the day. 3-FASTING-ROZA The Fast of Ramadan, occurs once each year during the 9th lunar month, the month of Ramadan, the ninth month of the Islamic calendar in which: “…the Quran was sent down as a guidance for the people.” (Quran 2:185) God in His infinite mercy has exempt the ill, travelers, and others who are unable from fasting Ramadan. Fasting helps Muslims develop self-control, gain a better understanding of God’s gifts and greater compassion towards the deprived. Fasting in Islam involves abstaining from all bodily pleasures between dawn and sunset. Not only is food forbidden, but also any sexual activity. All things which are regarded as prohibited is even more so in this month, due to its sacredness.. Each and every moment during the fast, a person suppresses their passions and desires in loving obedience to God. This consciousness of duty and the spirit of patience helps in strengthening our faith. Fasting helps a person gain self-control. A person who abstains from permissible things like food and drink is likely to feel conscious of his sins.
