For your faith to be enlightened, be vigilant. Today, the Muslim youths in our society have forgotten many things. Neither is he searching for knowledge of the religion, nor is he aware of how valuable time is. What a great tragedy of our time it is, that we are walking on such a path that hunters are waiting with loaded weapons aimed and ready to take our most important possession away from us. That possession, which is the most priceless, most expensive thing that we have, is our faith. You will be shocked to learn that movie songs are also aimed at stealing our faith from us. A great Ashiq-e-Rasool sallalaho alaihe wasallam warned us about these trials: "Soona jungle raat andheyri chaayee badlee kaali hai, Soney waalo jaagtey rehyo, choro ki rakh waali hai" This is a full poem by Ala Hazrat radiallaho ta'ala anhu that warns us about all the predators that are around us trying to steal our faith. The terrible effect and result of movie songs was realised by some brothers and they immediately corrected their ways. At the same time some questions arose, for example: (1) Listening to movie songs, and statements of kufr in the songs, our good deeds were worthless. How is it possible to stop this in the future? (2) If we have ill feelings or suspicions about people that sing or listen to such songs, what is the order against us? (3) Is the order of infidelity (kufr) on all those that listen to or sing such songs? (4) Most people do not know that these songs contain words of kufr; will they also be guilty of such a big crime? I will try and shed some light on the above questions which will Insha Allah remove some of the misunderstandings and clarify things for you. " Those deeds that were deemed worthless do not need to be repeated. However, if you have the capability to perform Hajj again, then you should do so. " If one hears these words of kufr and considers them bad in his heart, and has hatred for the singer, or says or writes something bad about the singer, there is no accusation or blame on such a person. Rather, hatred for infidelity is a sign of true faith. If one sings those verses with enthusiasm, listens to them fervently, reads them enthusiastically, or is pleased with them, then such a person will be classified as an infidel. " Where there is suspicion and doubt as to whether one had listened or sung such lyrics with enthusiasm and passion, if the habit of the person was to listen to music and songs, then he should renew his faith and his marriage (Nikah). This is better for him in this world and the hereafter. Repentance and renewing faith are worthy of reward at all times. " There are two types of words of kufr. Some are those are such that claiming ignorance will not be accepted as an excuse. For example, if someone denies that Allah Ta'ala is the Creator and then claims that he did not know that this if kufr, then this will not be acceptable as an excuse. Similarly if someone believes that someone other than Allah Ta'ala is worthy of worship and then claims that he did not know that this is polytheism (shirk), again this excuse is not acceptable. If he is a Muslim how can he not know that there is no other worthy of worship except Allah Ta'ala and that He is the Creator of all? If a person sings or reads the following verses with enthusiasm and enjoyment: Whenever God looks towards the earth He must wonder who created my beloved What form do you take in my eyes By God you are God in my eyes. The above verse is denying the fact that Allah Ta'ala created everything and has knowledge of all things. Similarly, if one considers the following verses good: I am planning to love a statue of stone I desire and plan to worship it O one of stone, I have accepted you as the God of love What a grave mistake, what is this we have thought and believed. This person considers one other than Allah as being worthy of worship and this is open opposition to "Laa Ilaha Illal Laah." A person can not pray the kalimah and also entertain or speak such filthy words. Then he claims that he did not know that this constitutes kufr and shirk? This is not an acceptable excuse. In normal law, crimes (murder, stealing, etc) that are clearly committed can not be excused by claiming ignorance Let us look more closely at this issue. There are two types of things that Muslins must believe in. The first is those things that are part of faith that are known by everyone, the second are those things that are not known by all. The first is called necessities of the religion and it is described as follows in Bahaar E Shariat, "Necessities of the religion are those things which are known by common people, like the Oneness of Allah Ta'ala, Prophets, Paradise, Hell, Day of Judgement, accounting and reckoning of our deeds etc. Common people refers to those Muslims that are not amongst the scholars, even if they spend time in the company of scholars and have an interest in religious knowledge. It does not refer to those Muslims that live is seclusion or in remote areas and do not even know how to recite the kalimah properly. These people will not cease to be Muslims even if they are not conversant with all the basic requirements." (Bahaar E Shariat, Part 1, Page 52) Allah Ta'ala is the Creator of the whole universe, and he created everyone. He is the only One worthy of worship; there is no one else that can be worshipped. He knows all things. He is the Wise, All Knowing One. These things are also amongst the necessities of faith, all those with any knowledge of faith know these things. Rather, small children are also aware of these things. Therefore if someone utters a verse that goes against these beliefs in a poem or a verse then he goes out of the fold of Islam. Hazrat Allama Ali Qari alaihir rahmah states in Sharha Fiqh Akbar that, "If one speaks words of kufr but he does not realise they are words of kufr, is such a person an infidel (kafir) or not?" (Page 202) He writes the opinions of various scholars on this matter and here are the words in his book. "One opinion is that he should not be classed as a non believer because he is crippled by ignorance and lack of knowledge. Another opinion is that he will be classed a non believer and will not be regarded as being crippled by lack of knowledge and ignorance. I say that the first opinion is crystal clear, however, if the words of kufr are in relation to any of the necessities of the religion, then the person will definitely be an infidel and ignorance and lack of knowledge are not considered crippling in this instance." From this we learn that if the words of kufr relate to an essential part of faith, then ignorance and lack of knowledge will not be acceptable excuses. How can a Muslim not know such obvious and clear things? If the words of kufr do not pertain to essential things, then ignorance can be a sufficient excuse. Even here, a group of scholars say that lack of knowledge is no excuse even in this circumstance. Let us enlighten our faith with a Hadith. It is reported in Bukhari Shareef, Kitabur Raqaaq that, "Hazrat Abu Hurairah radiallaho ta'ala anhu narrates that Rasool Allah sallalaho alaihe wasallam said, Sometimes a slave says something that pleases Allah ta'ala greatly but he is not aware of it. Allah Ta'ala elevates his status because of those words. Other times a slave says something that displeases Allah Ta'ala and yet he is unaware of it. This causes him to fall into the fire." It is mentioned in one narration that he falls further into the fire than the distance between east and west. Let us try and understand this with an example. One who utters words of kufr in relation to essential requirements is like one who drinks lethal poison. If one unknowingly or by mistake drinks lethal poison, then his life can not be saved. Similarly, is a person utters words of kufr, unknowingly or by mistake, his faith will not remain. The amazing thing is that there are very few people that drink poison, even by mistake or unknowingly. However, there is a huge number of people drinking the poison of movie songs. Why are we so careful in guarding our lives, yet so careless in guarding our faith and belief? By: Mufti Muhammad Nizamuddin Razvi (Head Mufti- Jamia Ashrafiya, Mubarakpur. U.P.)

Why I shed BIKINI for NIQAB: Former Actress Sara Bokker I AM an American woman who was born in the midst of America's "Heartland." I grew up, just like any other girl, being fixated with the glamour of life in "the big city." Eventually, I moved to Florida and on to South Beach of Miami, a hotspot for those seeking the "glamorous life." Naturally, I did what most average Western girls do. I focused on my appearance and appeal, basing my self-worth on how much attention I got from others. I worked out religiously and became a personal trainer, acquired an upscale waterfront residence, became a regular "exhibiting" beach-goer and was able to attain a "living-in-style" kind of life. Years went by, only to realize that my scale of self-fulfillment and happiness slid down the more I progressed in my "feminine appeal." I was a slave to fashion. I was a hostage to my looks. As the gap continued to progressively widen between my self-fulfillment and lifestyle, I sought refuge in escapes from alcohol and parties to meditation, activism, and alternative religions, only to have the little gap widen to what seemed like a valley. I eventually realized it all was merely a pain killer rather than an effective remedy. By now it was Sept. 11, 2001. As I witnessed the ensuing barrage on Islam, Islamic values and culture, and the infamous declaration of the "new crusade," I started to notice something called Islam. Up until that point, all I had associated with Islam was women covered in "tents," wife beaters, harems, and a world of terrorism. As a feminist libertarian, and an activist, I was pursuing a better world for all. One day I came across a book that is negatively stereotyped in the West - The Noble Qur'an. I was first attracted by the style and approach of the Qur'an, and then intrigued by its outlook on existence, life, creation, and the relationship between Creator and creation. I found the Qur'an to be a very insightful address to heart and soul without the need for an interpreter or pastor. Eventually I hit a moment of truth: my new-found self-fulfilling activism was nothing more than merely embracing a faith called Islam where I could live in peace as a "functional" Muslim. I bought a beautiful long gown and head cover resembling the Muslim woman's dress code and I walked down the same streets and neighborhoods where only days earlier I had walked in my shorts, bikini, or "elegant" Western business attire. Although the people, the faces, and the shops were all the same, one thing was remarkably distinct - I was not - nor was the peace at being a woman I experienced for the very first time. I felt as if the chains had been broken and I was finally free. I was delighted with the new looks of wonder on people's faces in place of the looks of a hunter watching his prey I had once sought. Suddenly a weight had been lifted off my shoulders. Finally, I was free. Of all places, I found my Islam at the heart of what some call "the most scandalous place on earth," which makes it all the more dear and special. While content with Hijab I became curious about Niqab, seeing an increasing number of Muslim women in it. I asked my Muslim husband, whom I married after I reverted to Islam, whether I should wear Niqab or just settle for the Hijab I was already wearing. My husband simply advised me that he believes Hijab is mandatory in Islam while Niqab is not. At the time, my Hijab consisted of head scarf that covered all my hair except for my face, and a loose long black gown called "Abaya" that covered all my body from neck to toe. A year-and-a-half passed, and I told my husband I wanted to wear Niqab. My reason, this time, was that I felt it would be more pleasing to Allah, the Creator, increasing my feeling of peace at being more modest. He supported my decision and took me to buy an "Isdaal," a loose black gown that covers from head to toe, and Niqab, which covers all my head and face except for my eyes. Soon enough, news started breaking about politicians, Vatican clergymen, libertarians, and so-called human rights and freedom activists condemning Hijab at times, and Niqab at others as being oppressive to women, an obstacle to social integration, and more recently, as an Egyptian official called it - "a sign of backwardness. " I find it to be a blatant hypocrisy when Western governments and so-called human rights groups rush to defend woman's rights when some governments impose a certain dress code on women, yet such "freedom fighters" look the other way when women are being deprived of their rights, work, and education just because they choose to exercise their right to wear Niqab or Hijab. Today I am still a feminist, but a Muslim feminist, who calls on Muslim women to assume their responsibilities in providing all the support they can for their husbands to be good Muslims. To raise their children as upright Muslims so they may be beacons of light for all humanity once again. To enjoin good - any good - and to forbid evil - any evil. To speak righteousness and to speak up against all ills. To fight for our right to wear Niqab or Hijab and to please our Creator whichever way we chose. But just as importantly to carry our experience with Niqab or Hijab to fellow women who may never have had such a chance. Most of the women I know wearing Niqab are Western reverts, some of whom are not even married. Others wear Niqab without full support of either family or surroundings. What we all have in common is that it is the personal choice of each and every one of us, which none of us is willing to surrender. Willingly or unwillingly, women are bombarded with styles of "dressing-in- little-to- nothing" virtually in every means of communication everywhere in the world. As an ex non-Muslim, I insist on women's right to equally know about Hijab, its virtues, and the peace and happiness it brings to a woman's life as it did to mine. Yesterday, the bikini was the symbol of my liberty, when in actuality it only liberated me from my spirituality and true value as a respectable human being. Today, Niqab is the new symbol of woman's liberation. To women who surrender to the ugly stereotype against the Islamic modesty of Hijab, I say: You don't know what you are missing. - Sara Bokker Former actress/Model/ fitness instructor and activist.

An excellent answer to those who oppose the celebration of Milad-un-nabi
اس ٹاپک میں نے Attari.Rafique میں پوسٹ کیا Debate and Refutation of Deviants
[ color="#008000"] Should we celebrate Mawlid (The Prophet's ( ) birthday)? Yes we should celebrate it every year And every month and every week And every hour and every moment. Dr. `Isa al-Mani` al-Humayri, Department of Awqaaf, Dubai Office of Religious Endowments and Islamic Affairs, Dubai Administration of Ifta' and Research We find nowadays publications filled with lies and deception which mislead many Muslims into thinking negatively about the honorable Mawlid of the Prophet . These publications claim that to celebrate the Mawlid is an act of innovation that goes against Islam. This is far from the truth, and it is therefore necessary for those who can speak clearly to help clarify and reverse the doubts surrounding this most blessed day. It is with this humble intention that I present the following proofs in support of celebrating our beloved Prophet's birthday. The Prophet said, "He who innovates something in this matter of ours that is not of it will have it rejected." He also said, "Beware of innovations, for every innovation (kul bida`) is misguidance." Those opposed to Mawlid cite this saying and hold that the word every (kul) is a term of generalization, including all types of innovations, with no exception, and that therefore, celebrating Mawlid is misguidance. By daring to say that, they accuse the scholars of Islam of innovation. At the top of the list of those they have accused, then, is our Master `Umar . Those in opposition to Mawlid quickly reply to this, "But we did not mean the Companions of the Prophet Muhammad. " It follows, then, that the meaning of every (kul) cannot be taken in its general sense. Therefore, although the Prophet may not have said to celebrate his blessed birthday, it is nonetheless not innovation to do so. For, as the following examples show, there were many actions and practices instituted by his close followers after his time that are not deemed innovation. Compiling the Qu'ran. (From a Prophetic saying related by Zaid Ibn Thabit ."The Prophet died and the Qu'ran had not been compiled anywhere. `Umar suggested to Abu Bakr to compile the Qu'ran in one book. When a large number of Companions were killed in the battle of Yamama, Abu Bakr wondered, "How could we do something that the Prophet did not do?' `Umar said, "By Allah, it is good.' `Umar persisted in asking Abu Bakr until Allah expanded his chest for it (Allah made him agree and accept these suggestions) and he sent for Zaid Ibn Thabit and assigned him to compile the Qu'ran." Zaid said, "By Allah if they had asked me to move a mountain, it would not have been more difficult than to compile the Qur'an." He also said, "How could you do something that the Prophet did not do?" Abu Bakr said, "It is good, and `Umar kept coming back to me until Allah expanded my chest for the matter." The saying is narrated in Sahih Al Bukhari. The Maqam of Ibrahim (alaihissalam) in relation to the Ka'ba. (Al Bayhaqi narrated with a strong chain of narrators from Aisha .) "The Maqam during the time of the Prophet and Abu Bakr was attached to the House, then `Umar moved it back." Al Hafiz Ibn Hajar said in Al Fath, "The Companions did not oppose `Umar , neither did those who came after them, thus it became unanimous agreement." He was the first to build the enclosure (maqsura) on it, which still exists today. Adding the first call to prayer on Friday. (From Sahih Al Bukhari, from Al Sa'ib bin Yazid.) "During the time of the Prophet , Abu Bakr and `Umar , the call to Friday prayer used to occur when the Imam sat on the pulpit. When it was Othman's time, he added the third call (considered third in relation to the first adhan and the iqama. But it is named first because it proceeds the call to the Friday prayer.)" Salutations on the Prophet composed and taught by our Master `Ali ®. The salutations have been mentioned by Sa'id bin Mansoor and Ibn Jareer in Tahzeeb al Aathar, and by Ibn Abi Assim and Ya'qoob bin Shaiba in Akhbar `Ali and by Al Tabarani and others from Salamah Al Kindi. The addition to the tashahhud by Ibn Mas'ud. After "wa rahmatullahi wa barakatu," and the Mercy of Allah and Blessings, he used to say, "assalamu `alayna min Rabbina," peace upon us from our Lord. Narrated by Al Tabarani in Al Kabir, and the narrators are those of the sound transmitters, as it has been mentioned in Majma' Al Zawa'id. The addition to the tashahhud by Abdullah Ibn `Umar. He added the basmalah at the beginning of the tashahhud. He also added to the talbia, "labbaika wa sa'daika wal khayru bi yadayka wal raghba'u ilayika wal `amalu" This is mentioned in Bukhari, Muslim, et al. These are some of the developments instituted by the Prophet's Companions, the scholars, and the honorable members of his nation, which did not exist during the time of the Prophet, and which they deemed good. Are they, then, misguided and guilty of bad innovation? As for the claim that there is no such thing in religion as good innovation, here are some sayings of the brilliant scholars of Islam belying this claim. Imam Nawawi said in Sahih Muslim (6-21) "The Prophet's saying every innovation is a general-particular and it is a reference to most innovations. The linguists say, "Innovation is any act done without a previous pattern, and it is of five different kinds.'" Imam Nawawi also said in Tahzeeb al Asma' wal Sifaat, "Innovation in religious law is to originate anything which did not exist during the time of the Prophet, and it is divided into good and bad." He also said, "Al-muhdathat (pl. for muhdatha) is to originate something that has no roots in religious law. In the tradition of religious law it is called innovation, and if it has an origin within the religious law, then it is not innovation. Innovation in religious law is disagreeable, unlike in the language where everything that has been originated without a previous pattern is called innovation regardless of whether it is good or bad." Shaykh Ibn Hajar Al Asqalani, the commentator on Al Bukhari, said, "Anything that did not exist during the Prophet's time is called innovation, but some are good while others are not." Abu Na'eem, narrated from Ibrahim Al Junaid, said, "I heard Ash-Shafi'i saying, "Innovation is of two types; praiseworthy innovation and blameworthy innovation, and anything that disagrees with the Sunnah is blameworthy.'" Imam Albayhaqi narrated in Manaqib Ash-Shafi'i that Ash-Shafi'i said, "Innovations are of two types: that which contradicts the Qu'ran, the Sunnah, or unanimous agreement of the Muslims is a innovation of deception, while a good innovation does not contradict any of these things." Al `Izz bin Abdussalam said, at the end of his book, Al Qawa'id, "Innovation is divided into obligatory, forbidden, recommended, disagreeable and permissible, and the way to know which is which is to match it against the religious law." Clearly we see from the opinions of these righteous scholars, that to define innovations in worship as wholly negative without exception is ignorant. For these pious knowers, among them Imam Nawawi and Ash-Shafi'i, declared that innovations could be divided into good and bad, based on their compliance or deviance with religious law. Moreover, the following Prophetic saying is known even to common Muslims, let alone scholars: "He who inaugurates a good practice (sunnatun hasana) in Islam earns the reward of it, and of all who perform it after him, without diminishing their own rewards in the least." Therefore it is permissible for a Muslim to originate a good practice, even if the Prophet didn't do it, for the sake of doing good and cultivating the reward. The meaning of inaugurate a good practice (sanna sunnatun hasana) is to establish a practice through personal reasoning (ijtihad) and derivation (istinbat) from the rules of religious law or its general texts. The actions of the Prophet's Companions and the generation following them which we have stated above is the strongest evidence. The ones prejudiced against celebrating the Prophet's birthday have paved the way for their falsehood by deceiving the less-learned among the Muslims. The prejudiced ones claim that Ibn Kathir writes in his Al Bidaya wal Nihaya (11-172) that the Fatimide-Obaidite state, which descends from the Jew, Obaidillah Bin Maimoon Al Kaddah, ruler of Egypt from 357-567 A.H., innovated the celebration of a number of days, among them, the celebration of the Prophet's birthday. This treacherous lie is a grave insult to the scholarship of Ibn Kathir and the scholarship of all Islam. For in truth, Ibn Kathir writes about the Prophet's birthday in Al bidaya wal nihaya [13-136] "The victorious king Abu Sa'id Kawkaburi, was one of the generous, distinguished masters, and the glorious kings; he left good impressions and used to observe the honorable Mawlid by having a great celebration. Moreover, he was chivalrous, brave, wise, a scholar, and just." Ibn Kathir continues, "And he used to spend three hundred thousand Dinars on the Mawlid." In support, Imam Al Dhahabi writes of Abu Sa'id Kawkaburi, in Siyar A'laam al nubala' [22-336] "He was humble, righteous, and loved religious learned men and scholars of Prophetic saying." Following are some sayings of the rightly guided Imams regarding the Mawlid. Imam Al Suyuti, from Alhawi lil fatawi, wrote a special chapter entitled "The Good Intention in Commemorating the Mawlid," at the beginning of which he said, "There is a question being asked about commemorating the Mawlid of the Prophet in the month of Rabi' Al Awal: what is the religious legal ruling in this regard, is it good or bad? Does the one who celebrates get rewarded or not?" The answer according to me is as follows: To commemorate the Mawlid, which is basically gathering people together, reciting parts of the Qu'ran, narrating stories about the Prophet's birth and the signs that accompanied it, then serving food, and afterwards, departing, is one of the good innovations; and the one who practices it gets rewarded, because it involves venerating the status of the Prophet and expressing joy for his honorable birth. Ibn Taymiyya said in his book Iqtida' Al Sirat Al Mustaqeem (pg. 266) "Likewise, what some people have innovated, in competition with the Christians in celebrating the birth of Jesus, or out of love and veneration of the Prophet⦣128;榱uot; and he continues "⦣128;æ´¨at the predecessors didn't do, even though there is a reason for it, and there is nothing against it." This is a saying of someone who set fanaticism aside and sought to please Allah and his Prophet. As far as we are concerned, we commemorate the Mawlid for no other reason but what Ibn Taymiya said, "Out of love and veneration of the Prophet." May Allah reward us according to this love and effort, and may Allah bless the one who said, "Let alone what the Christians claim about their Prophet, and you may praise Muhammad in any way you want and attribute to his essence all honors and to his status all greatness, for his merit has no limits that any expression by any speaker might reach." In the same source previously mentioned, Al Suyuti said, "Someone asked Ibn Hajar about commemorating the Mawlid. Ibn Hajar answered, "Basically, commemorating the Mawlid is an innovation that has not been transmitted by the righteous Muslims of the first three centuries. However, it involves good things and their opposites, therefore, whoever looks for the good and avoids the opposites then it is a good innovation.' It occurred to me (Al Suyuti) to trace it to its established origin, which has been confirmed in the two authentic books: Al Sahihain. When the Prophet arrived in Medina he found that the Jews fast the day of Aashura; when he inquired about it they said, "This is the day when Allah drowned the Pharaoh and saved Moses, therefore we fast it to show our gratitude to Allah.' From this we can conclude that thanks are being given to Allah on a specific day for sending bounty or preventing indignity or harm." Al Suyuti then commented, "What bounty is greater than the bounty of the coming of this Prophet, the Prophet of Mercy, on that day?" "This is regarding the basis of Mawlid. As for the activities, there should be only the things that express thankfulness to Allah, such as what has been previously mentioned: reciting Qu'ran, eating food, giving charity, reciting poetry praising the Prophet or on piety which moves hearts and drives them to do good and work for the Hereafter." These are the derivations that those opposed to Mawlid call false conclusions and invalid analogies. Imam Mohammed bin Abu Bakr Abdullah Al Qaisi Al Dimashqi. Jami' Al Athar fi Mawlid, Al Nabiy Al Mukhtar, Al lafz al ra'iq fi Mawlid khayr al khala'iq, and Mawlid al sadi fi Mawlid Al Hadi, Imam Al `Iraqi. Al Mawlid al heni fi al Mawlid al sani. Mulla `Ali Al Qari. Al Mawlid Al rawi fil Mawlid al Nabawi. Imam Ibn Dahiya. Al Tanweer fi Mawlid Al basheer Al Nadheer. Imam Shamsu Din bin Nasir Al Dimashqi. Mawlid al Sadi fi Mawlid Al Hadi. He is the one who said about the Prophet's estranged uncle, Abu Lahab, "This unbeliever who has been dispraised, "perish his hands" [111: 1], will stay in Hell forever. Yet, every Monday his torment is being reduced because of his joy at the birth of the Prophet." How much mercy can a servant expect who spends all his life joyous about the Prophet and dies believing in the Oneness of Allah? Imam Shamsu Din Ibn Al Jazri. Al Nashr fil Qira'at Al `Ashr, `Urf Al Ta'reef bil Mawlid al shareef. Imam Ibn Al Jawzi Imam Ibn Al Jawzi said about the honorable Mawlid, "It is security throughout the year, and glad tidings that all wishes and desires will be fulfilled." Imam Abu Shama Imam Abu Shama (Imam Nawawi's shaykh) in his book Al ba'ith ala Inkar Al bida` wal hawadith (pg.23) said, "One of the best innovations in our time is what is being done every year on the Prophet's birthday, such as giving charity, doing good deeds, displaying ornaments, and expressing joy, for that expresses the feelings of love and veneration for him in the hearts of those who are celebrating, and also, shows thankfulness to Allah for His bounty by sending His Messenger, the one who has been sent as a Mercy to the worlds." Imam Al Shihab Al Qastalani Imam Al Shihab Al Qastalani (Al Bukhari's commentator) in his book Al mawahib Al Ladunniya (1-148) said, "May Allah have mercy on the one who turns the nights of the month of the Prophet's birth into festivities in order to decrease the suffering of those whose hearts are filled with disease and sickness." There are others who wrote and spoke about Mawlid, such as Imam Al Sakhawi, Imam Wajihu Din bin `Ali bin al Dayba' al Shaybani al Zubaidi, and many more, which we will not mention due to the limited space available. From these many evidences, it should be clear by now that celebrating the Mawlid is highly commendable and allowed. Surely we cannot simply shrug off as heretics the scholars and dignitaries of this nation who approved the commemoration of the Mawlid and wrote countless books on the subject. Are all these scholars, to whom the whole world is indebted for the beneficial books they have written on Prophetic sayings, jurisprudence, commentaries, and other sorts of knowledge, among the indecent who commit sins and evil? Are they, as those opposed to Mawlid claim, imitating the Christians in celebrating the birth of Jesus? Are they claiming that the Prophet did not convey to the nation what they should do? We leave answers to these questions up to you. And yet we must continue to examine the errors which those opposed to Mawlid utter. They say "If celebrating the Mawlid is from the religion, then the Prophet would have made it clear to the nation, or would have done it in his lifetime, or it would have been done by the Companions." No one can say that the Prophet did not do it out of his humbleness, for this is speaking evil of him, so they cannot use this argument. Furthermore, that the Prophet and his Companions did not do a certain thing does not mean they made that thing prohibited. The proof is in the Prophet's saying, "Whoever establishes, in Islam, a good practice..." cited earlier. This is the strongest evidence that gives encouragement to innovate whatever practices have foundations in religious law, even if the Prophet and his Companions did not do them. Al Shafi'i said, "Anything that has a foundation in religious law is not an innovation even if the Companions did not do it, because their refraining from doing it might have been for a certain excuse they had at the time, or they left it for something better, or perhaps not all of them knew about it." Therefore, whoever prohibits anything based on the concept that the Prophet did not do it, his claim has no proof and must be rejected. Thus we say to the rejecters of Mawlid: based on the rule you have attempted to found, that is, that whoever does anything that the Prophet or his Companions did not do is committing innovation, it would follow that the Prophet did not complete the religion for his nation, and that the Prophet did not convey to the nation what they should do. No one says this or believes this except a heretic defecting from the religion of Allah. To the doubters of Mawlid we declare, "Based on what you say, we convict you." For you have innovated in the basics of worship a large number of things that the Prophet did not do⦣128;⦣128;Â?nor did his Companions, the Generation after the Companions, or the Generation after them. For instance: • Congregating people behind one Imam to pray Salat al Tahajjud after Salat Al Tarawih, in the two Holy Mosques and other mosques. • Reciting the Prayer of Completion of the Qu'ran in Salat al Tarawih and also in Salat al Tahajjud. • Designating the 27th night of Ramadan to complete reading the entire Qu'ran in the two Holy Mosques. • A caller saying, after Salat al Tarawih, in the Qiyam prayer, "May Allah reward you." • Founding organizations which did not exist in the time of the Prophet, such as Islamic universities, societies for committing the Qu'ran to memory, and offices for missionary work, and committees for enjoining good and forbidding evil. We are not objecting to these things, since they are forms of good innovation. We merely list these innovations to point out that those who oppose Mawlid clearly contradict their own rule stating that anything that neither the Prophet nor his Companions did is innovation. And since they claim that all innovation is bad, they themselves are guilty. Yet another claim they make is to say that those who commemorate the Mawlid are mostly indecent and immoral. This is a vulgar statement and it only reflects the character of the one saying it. Are all the distinguished scholars that we have mentioned, from the point of view of those opposed to Mawlid, indecent and immoral? We won't be surprised if this is what they believe. This is a most serious slander. We say, as the poet said, "When Allah wants to spread a virtue that has been hidden, He would let a tongue of an envious person know about it." Those opposed to Mawlid, may Allah guide them, have confused some expressions, and claim that some religious scholars associate partners with Allah. Take for example the plea of Imam Al Busiery to Prophet Muhammad, "Oh, most generous of creation, I have no one to resort to, save You, when the prevailing event takes place." They must examine carefully the saying of Imam Al Busiery: inda hulul il amim, when the prevailing event takes place. What is al Amim? It means that which prevails over the whole universe, and all of creation, in referring to the Day of Judgment. Imam Al Busiery is asking intercession from the Prophet on the Day of Judgment because on that Day we will have no one to resort to, or appeal to. Imam Al Busiery seeks his intercession to Allah through the Prophet, for when all other Messengers and Prophets will be saying, "Myself, myself," the Prophet will be saying, "I am the one for it, I am for it [the Intercession]" It becomes even more clear now that the doubts of those opposed to Mawlid are unfounded, just as their charges of associating partners with Allah are unfounded. This is due to their blindness, both physical and spiritual. Another similar example can be found in the well-known saying transmitted by the distinguished Imam Al Kamal bin Al Hammam Al Hanafi, author of Fath il Qadeer fi manasik al Farisi, and Sharh al Mukhtar min al sada al ahnaf. When Imam Abu Hanifa visited Medina, he stood in front of the honorable grave of the Prophet and said, "O, most honorable of the Two Weighty Ones (humankind and jinn)! O, treasure of mankind, shower your generosity upon me and please me with your pleasure. I am aspiring for your generosity, and there is no one for Abu Hanifa in the world but you." Again, we must not misinterpret this entreaty, but realize its true meaning. Yet another misconception those opposed to Mawlid hold can be seen in their statements such as these: "What occurs during Mawlid is mixing between men and women, singing and playing musical instruments, and drinking alcohol." I myself know this to be a lie, for I have attended many Mawlids and have not seen any mixing, and never heard any musical instruments. And as for drunkenness, yes, I have seen it, but not that of worldly people. We found people intoxicated with the love of the Prophet, a state surpassing even the agony of death, which we know overcame our master Bilal at the time of his death. In the midst of this sweet stupor he was saying, "Tomorrow I shall meet the loved ones, Muhammad and his Companions." To continue, those opposed to Mawlid say, "The day of the Prophet's birth is the same day of the week as his death. Therefore, joy on this day is no more appropriate than sorrow, and if religion is according to one's opinion, then this day should be a day of mourning and sorrow." This kind of lame eloquence, is answered by the Imam Jalal al Din al Suyuti, in Al hawi lil fatawi (pg.193), "The Prophet's birth is the greatest bounty, and his death is the greatest calamity. Religious law urges us to express thankfulness for bounties, and be patient and remain calm during calamities. Religious law has commanded us to sacrifice an animal on the birth of a child [and distribute the meat to the needy], which is an expression of gratitude and happiness with the newborn, while it did not command us to sacrifice at the time of death. Also, it prohibited wailing and showing grief. Therefore, the rules of Divine Law indicate that it is recommended to show joy during the month of the Prophet's birth, and not to show sorrow for his death." Furthermore, Ibn Rajab, in his book Al lata'if, dispraising the rejecters of Mawlid based on the above argument, said, "Some designated the day of Aashura as a funeral ceremony for the murder of Al Hussein. But neither Allah nor His Prophet commanded that the days of the prophets' great trials or deaths should be declared days of mourning, let alone those with lesser rank." We conclude this article with a saying of the Prophet, which has been narrated by Abu Ya'la, from Hudhaifa and about which Ibn Kathir said, "It's chain of transmission is good." Abu Ya'la said, "The Prophet has said, "One of the things that concerns me about my nation is a man who studied the Qu'ran, and when its grace started to show on him and he had the appearance of a Muslim, he detached himself from it, and threw it behind his back, and went after his neighbor with a sword and accused him of associating partners with Allah.' I then asked, "Oh, Prophet of Allah, which one is more guilty of associating partners with Allah, the accused or the accuser?' The Prophet said, "It is the accuser.'" Completed, with all Praises to Allah and salutations and peace be upon our master Muhammad and the family of Muhammad and his Companions. [/color] -

Easy Actions For Which Rewards Are Multiplied 1. Preserving the ties of kinship: " Whoever wishes that his provision be increased and his age lengthened, let him maintain the ties of kinship." [sahih al-Bukhari and Muslim] 2. Performing many prayers in the two noble Harams (in Makkah and Madinah): "Prayer in this masjid of mine is superior to a thousand prayers elsewhere, except for Masjid al-Haram, and prayer in Masjid al-Haram is superior to one hundred thousand prayers elsewhere." [Ahmad and ibn Majah] 3. Performing prayers in congregation. (brothers only) "Prayer in congregation is superior to praying individually twenty-seven times." [sahih Al-Bukhari and Muslim] 4. Performing voluntary prayers at home. "The most superior prayer of a person is in his home, except for obligatory prayers." [sahih al-Bukhari and Muslim] 5. Salat ul-Ishraq. "Whoever prays Fajr then sits remembering Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala until sunrise, then prays two units of prayer, has a complete reward of Hajj and Umrah [The Prophet Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam repeated 'complete' three times for emphasizing] [ Sahih] 6. Performing Umrah in the month of Ramadan. "Umrah in Ramadan is equal to a Hajj with me." [sahih al-Bukhari] 7. Prayer in Masjid Quba' in Madinah Shareef[/b] "Whoever purifies himself in his house then comes to Masjid Quba' and prays in it has the reward like that of Umrah." [an-Nasa'i and Ibn Majah] 8. Fasting Ramadan and following it with six days of Shawwal. "Whoever fasts Ramadan, then follows it with six (days) of Shawwal, it is like fasting all the time." [Muslim] 9. Fasting three days each month. "Whoever fasts three days each month, it s like fasting all the time." [at-Tirmidhi]. 10. Providing food for breaking of the fast: "Whoever provides food for breaking of the fast of a fasting person receives the reward of the fasting person, without the reward of the fasting person being reduced in any way." [at-Tirmidhi and Ibn Majah] 11. Standing in prayer on Laylatul-Qadr. "Laylatul Qadr is better than a thousand months" [Qur'an 97:3], that is, superior to approximately 83 years of worship. 12. Righteous actions in the first ten days of Dhul Hijjah. "There are no days in which righteous deeds are dearer to Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala than these ten [days of Dhul Hijjah]." [sahih al-Bukhari] 13. Frequent recitation of Qur'anic surahs. "Qul Huw Allahu Ahad" is equal to a third of the Qur'an and "Qul ya ayyuhal Kafirun" is equal to a fourth of the Qur'an." [sahih] 14. Al-Istighfaar. "Whoever seeks forgiveness for believing men and believing women, Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala will write for him a good deed for each believing man ad believing woman. 15 Fulfilling people's needs. "That I walk with my Muslim brother in [fulfilling his] need is dearer to me than being in i'tikaf in the masjid for a month 16. Dhikr. That I say 'Subhan'Allah, wal-Hamdu lillah, wa la ilaaha ill Allahu wAllahu Akbar' is dearer to me than what the sun has risen upon. [Muslim] May we follow these points for blessings and barakah inshAllah. -
Most of us get distracted and bring lots of worldly thoughts and problems into our mind when performing salah. When performing salah, why not try imagining the things below: Imagine! It has been said that the Holy Prophet has said that whilst you are praying: Imagine that all the prophets are on your right side, all the angels on your left, heaven in front of you, hell below you, the angel of death at your back and Allah watching over you. Imagine how revered a prophet is, that an entire chapter of the Holy Qur'an may be dedicated to him, imagine their position in heaven right now. Imagine 124,000 of them all lined up on your right side whilst you are praying. How then can you be distracted? Imagine the sacredness of an angel. Every human being has been allocated two of them for accounting of his deeds. Every cloud moves because Allah has ordered an angel to that function. Imagine the light from which each one of them was created, and all of them (much more than 6 billion) assembled on your left side listening to you praying. How then can you be distracted? Imagine hell! In a Hadith Qudsi, Allah says that hell will have seven levels with fires, which eat each other! In each level, there are valleys of fire, cities of fire, castles of fire, houses of fire, rooms of fire, wells of fire, serpents of fire, oceans of black poison containing thousands of scorpions of fire, each one in turn having seventy thousand tails of fire. In reality, hellish fire is much hotter than earthly fire, and hell is unimaginably much worse this description. Imagine heaven! In Hadith Qudsi, Allah says that heaven will have eight gates with thousands of gardens, thousands of cities of pearls, thousands of palaces of Ruby, thousands of rooms of gold, thousands of tables and of plates of jewels, thousands of kinds of food, thousands of thrones of red gold around each of which thousands of rivers will flow with life water and pure honey. On top of each palace, there will be thousands of gifts from the Merciful, which have not been seen by any eye, heard by any ear and are beyond our imagination. It has been said that in spite of all this pleasure, if the residents of heaven were shown the punishment of someone who did wrong for just one hour on earth, they would scream out with fear. And in spite of all their discomfort, if the residents of hell were shown the reward of someone who did good for only one hour on earth, they would forget they are in hell! Now imagine this hell beneath you and the open doors of heaven in front of you whilst you are praying. How then can you be distracted? Imagine the angel of death behind you, the angel that appears as a beautiful person at the deathbed of one who is favoured by Allah and as fierce creature that pulls the soul out as if it were a cloth being dragged amongst sharp thorns for one who is disfavoured. Imagine this angel just at your back whilst praying. How then can you be distracted if you are not even sure that this might be your last prayer? And finally imagine the Creator of all that has been mentioned in the previous paragraphs, one who has created an almost infinite universe of which earth is only a very tiny insignificant bit, and more insignificant are we who live in it. How then can you be distracted if the Lord of existence is watching above you whilst you are offering prayers to Him?

Once Moosa ( alaihis 'salam) asked Allah : O Allah ! You have granted me the honor and privilege of talking to you directly, Have you given this privilege to any other person? Allah replied, O Moosa ( alaihis 'salam)during the last period I am going to send an ummat, who will be the Ummat of Mohammed with dry lips, parched tongues, emaciated body with eyes sunken deep into their sockets, with livers dry and stomachs suffering the pangs of hunger- will call out to me (in dua) they will be much much closer to me than you O Moosa( alaihis 'salam)! while you speak to me there are 70000 veils between you and me but at the time of iftaar there will not be a single veil between me and the fasting Ummati of Mohammed O Moosa ( alaihis 'salam)I have taken upon myself the responsibility that at the time of iftaar I will never refuse the dua of a fasting person! KEEP YOURSELF OCCUPIED WITH DUA BEFORE BREAKING YOUR FAST... Never underestimate the power of Dua. When nothing helps only dua helps. Also, don't forget to remember me & the whole ummat-e-Mohammed in ur dua. JazakAllah . -
The Inner Dimensions of Fasting - Imam Al-Ghazali(Rehmatullah alaih)
اس ٹاپک میں نے Attari.Rafique میں پوسٹ کیا Islamic Events (English)
It should be known that there are three grades of fasting: ordinary, special and extra-special. Ordinary fasting means abstaining from food, drink and sexual satisfaction. Special Fasting means keeping one's ears, eyes, tongue, hands and feet -- and all other organs -- free from sin. Extra-special Fasting means fasting of the heart from unworthy concerns and worldly thoughts, in total disregard of everything but God, Great and Glorious is He. This kind of Fast is broken by thinking of worldly matters, except for those conducive to religious ends, since these constitute provision for the Hereafter and are not of this lower world. Those versed in the spiritual life of the heart have even said that a sin is recorded against one who concerns himself all day with arrangements for breaking his Fast. Such anxiety stems from lack of trust in the bounty of God, Great and Glorious is He, and from lack of certain faith in His promised sustenance. To this third degree belong the Prophets, the true awliya and the intimates of God. It does not lend itself to detailed examination in words, as its true nature is better revealed in action. It consists in utmost dedication to God, Great and Glorious is He, to the neglect of everything other than God, Exalted is He. It is bound up with the significance of His words: 'Say: 'Allah (sent it down)': then leave them to play in their vain discussions.' [al-An'am, 6:91] Inward Requirements As for Special Fasting, this is the kind practiced by the righteous. It means keeping all one's organs free from sin and six things are required for its accomplishment. See Not What Displeases God A chaste regard, restrained from viewing anything that is blameworthy or reprehensible, or that distracts the heart and diverts it from the remembrance of God, Great and Glorious is He. Said the Prophet, on him be peace: 'The furtive glance is one of the poisoned arrows of Satan, on him be God's curse. Whoever forsakes it for fear of God will receive from Him, Great and Glorious is He, a faith the sweetness of which he will find within his heart.' Jabir relates from Anas that God's Messenger , on him be peace, said: 'Five things break a man's Fast: lying, backbiting, gossiping, perjury and a lustful gaze.' Speak Not... Guarding one's tongue from idle chatter, lying, gossiping, obscenity, rudeness, arguing and controversy; making it observe silence and occupying it with remembrance of God, Great and Glorious is He, and with recitation of Quran. This is the fasting of the tongue. Said Sufyan : 'Backbiting annuls the Fast.' Layth quotes Mujahid as saying: 'Two habits annul Fasting: backbiting and telling lies.' The Prophet , on him be peace, said: 'Fasting is a shield; so when one of you is Fasting he should not use foul or foolish talk. If someone attacks him or insults him, let him say: 'I am Fasting, I am Fasting!'' According to Tradition: 'Two women were Fasting during the time of God's Messenger , on him be peace. They were so fatigued towards the end of the day, from hunger and thirst, that they were on the verge of collapsing. They therefore sent a message to God's Messenger , on him be peace, requesting permission to break their Fast. In response, the Prophet, on him be peace, sent them a bowl and said: 'Tell them to vomit into it what they have eaten.' One of them vomited and half filled the bowl with fresh blood and tender meat, while the other brought up the same so that they filled it between them. The onlookers were astonished. Then the Prophet, on him be peace, said: 'These two women have been Fasting from what God made lawful to them, and have broken their Fast on what God, Exalted is He, made unlawful to them. They sat together and indulged in backbiting, and here is the flesh of the people they maligned!'' Hear Not... Closing one's ears to everything reprehensible; for everything unlawful to utter is likewise unlawful to listen to. That is why God, Great and Glorious is He, equated the eavesdropper with the profiteer, in His words, Exalted is He: 'Listeners to falsehood, consumers of illicit gain.' [al- Ma'idah, 5:42] God, Great and Glorious is He, also said: 'Why do their rabbis and priests not forbid them to utter sin and consume unlawful profit?' [al-Ma'idah, 5:63] Silence in the face of backbiting is therefore unlawful. God, Exalted is He, said: 'You are then just like them.' [al-Nisa, 4:140] That is why the Prophet, on him be peace, said: 'The backbiter and his listener are copartners in sin.' Do Not... Keeping all other limbs and organs away from sin: the hands and feet from reprehensible deeds, and the stomach from questionable food at the time for breaking Fast. It is meaningless to Fast -- to abstain from lawful food - only to break one's Fast on what is unlawful. A man who Fast like this may be compared to one who builds a castle but demolishes a city. Lawful food injurious in quantity not in quality, so Fasting is to reduce the former. A person might well give up excessive use of medicine, from fear of ill effects, but he would be a fool to switch to taking poison. The unlawful is a poison deadly to religion, while the lawful is a medicine, beneficial in small doses but harmful in excess. The object of Fasting is to induce moderation. Said the Prophet, on him be peace: 'How many of those who Fast get nothing from it but hunger and thirst!' This has been taken to mean those who break their Fast on unlawful food. Some say it refers to those who abstain from lawful food, but break their Fast on human flesh through backbiting, which is unlawful. Others consider it an allusion to those who do not guard their organs from sin. Avoid Overeating Not to over-indulge in lawful food at the time of breaking Fast, to the point of stuffing one's belly. There is no receptacle more odious to God, Great and Glorious is He, than a belly stuffed full with lawful food. Of what use is the Fast as a means of conquering God's enemy and abating appetite, if at the time of breaking it one not only makes up for all one has missed during the daytime, but perhaps also indulges in a variety of extra foods? It has even become the custom to stock up for Ramadan with all kinds of foodstuffs, so that more is consumed during that time than in the course of several other months put together. It is well known that the object of Fasting is to experience hunger and to check desire, in order to reinforce the soul in piety. If the stomach is starved from early morning till evening, so that its appetite is aroused and its craving intensified, and it is then offered delicacies and allowed to eat its fill, its taste for pleasure is increased and its force exaggerated; passions are activated which would have lain dormant under normal conditions. The spirit and secret nature of Fasting is to weaken the forces which are Satan's means of leading us back to evil. It is therefore essential to cut down one's intake to what one would consume on a normal night, when not Fasting. No benefit is derived from the Fast if one consumes as much as one would usually take during the day and night combined. Moreover, one of the properties consists in taking little sleep during the daytime, so that one feels the hunger and thirst and becomes conscious of the weakening of one's powers, with the consequent purification of the heart. One should let a certain degree of weakness carry over into the night, making it easier to perform the (tahajjud) and to recite the praises (awrad). It may then be that Satan will not hover around one's heart, and that one will behold the Kingdom of Heaven. The Night of Destiny represents the night on which something of this Kingdom is revealed. This is what is meant by the words of God, Exalted is He:'We surely revealed it on the Night of Power.' [al-Qadr, 97:1] Anyone who puts a bag of food between his heart and his breast becomes blind to this revelation. Nor is keeping the stomach empty sufficient to remove the veil, unless one also empties the mind of everything but God, Great and Glorious is He. That is the entire matter, and the starting point of it all is cutting down on food. Look To God With Fear And Hope After the Fast has been broken, the heart should swing like a pendulum between fear and hope. For one does not know if one's Fast will be accepted, so that one will find favor with God, or whether it will be rejected, leaving one among those He abhors. This is how one should be at the end of any act of worship one performs. It is related of al-Hasan ibn Abil Hasan al-Basri that he once passed by a group of people who were laughing merrily. He said: 'God, Great and Glorious is He, has made the month of Ramadan a racecourse, on which His creatures compete in His worship. Some have come in first and won, while others have lagged behind and lost. It is absolutely amazing to find anybody laughing and playing about on the day when success attends the victors, and failure the wasters. By God, if the veil were lifted off, the doer of good would surely be preoccupied with his good works and the evildoer with his evil deeds.' In too full of joy to indulge in idle sport, while for one who has suffered rejection laughter will be precluded by remorse. Of al-Ahnaf ibn Qays it is reported that he was once told: 'You are an aged elder; Fasting would enfeeble you.' But he replied: 'By this I am making ready for a long journey, Obedience to God, Glorified is He, is easier to endure than His punishment.' Such are the inwardly significant meanings of Fasting. -
Preparing For A Good Friend(Ramzan Shareef)
اس ٹاپک میں نے Attari.Rafique میں پوسٹ کیا Islamic Events (English)
good friend is someone who benefits you, who is good to you, treats you well and, indeed, treats you. A good friend bestows gifts upon you and shields you from harm and creates circumstances for you to better yourself in different aspects of your life. What greater friend is there then than the holy month of Ramadhan in the Islamic Calendar. For when it arrives, it brings nothing but goodness upon goodness. "When Ramazan arrives, the gates of Paradise are opened, the gates of Hell are closed and the devils are chained." (Bukhari, Muslim) It seems as though the previous month last year has not even just gone by and this year's Ramadhan has already arrived. By the grace of Allahu azza wa jall it has arrived and we now need to get into a more proactive state of mind in order to reap maximum benefit from this month. The two main acts of worship in this month are the fasting as Allah has prescribed to us in Surat al-Baqarah of the Holy Noble Qur'an and the tarawih prayer that is performed every night of the month. This month is a month where we ask for Allah's mercy, His forgiveness of our sins and for admittance into al-Jannah. We must, as we approach Ramazan, begin to take stock of where we are in terms of Deen, how much we practice, how much we know, how much we affect others and whether generally there is barakah in our life and His signs or not. For at whatever stage we may be at, Ramadhan is an opportunity to give our iman and taqwa a big boost. To attain taqwa, or God-consciousness, is the primary reason why we fast so that is the first thing that we need to keep in mind when we make our intention for the coming fasts. Not that so we get an idea of how hungry people feel, not so that we lose some weight but for taqwa. One of the results that fasting achieves is that you are constantly aware during the day of Allah seeing you which is why a Muslim never breaks a fast intentionally. The aim of fasting is to prolong that state of mind throughout the year. (Just to add, it is advisable upon breaking one's fast to eat small amounts first, wait about half an hour and then have a medium-sized meal otherwise you will put on weight) The tarawih is another important part of the process of Ramazan, of constant dhikr, remembrance, devotion and worship even though it is not obligatory. If Ipods are a trademark of Apple, then the trademark of Ramadhan Sharif is the Holy Qur'an. "The month of Ramazan is the month in which the Qur'an was sent down." (al-Baqarah: 185) Indeed the month of Ramazan is the month of the Qur'an and it is well advisable for a Muslim to strengthen his or her relationship with the Qur'an especially in this blessed month. The Qur'an is the root of our Deen, from where everything comes from, it's recitation food for all souls for all time, the guidance therein a light for mankind. Start reciting some Qur'an every day, practice your recitation and aim to finish one recitation of Qur'an yourself in the coming month. Be diligent and disciplined with regards to the tarawih prayer; do not miss one night of prayer if you can help it. This special occasion comes but once a year, as a Divine Gift so do not miss out on it. Make a habit now of going to the mosque to pray salah in jamaat wherever and whenever possible. Finally, the last part of Ramazan: the last ten days incorporating the night of power or laylat al-qadr. These ten days are days in which some people make intention to do and do I'tikaf or 'retreat' in a Masjid. If one is able to take time out from one's commitments then this is a very beneficial spiritual exercise for one's spirituality as it takes a lot of discipline and comprises much devotion. Lastly on the subject of laylat al-qadr, many masaajid hold a big event on the 27th night of Ramazan claiming that that is the night of power. It may be or it may not be, even though there are narrations to that effect. However, I conclude with the Prophetic advice: "Seek Laylat al-Qadr in the odd numbered nights, among the last ten of Ramazan." (Bukhari) Try to worship as much as you can, try to do tilaawah as much as you can, try to give in charity as much as you can, try to do as many good deeds for Allah, to people and for your own progression, do not forget the Zakat al-Fitr and remember to revise the method of praying the salah of Eid al-Fitr. May Allah make this a beneficial month for all Muslims and may we exit it better than when we entered it -

Qazi Sharf-ud-din Al Baazri Rahmatullah Alaih narrate that Shaykh Abu Abdullah Bin Musa Bin Numan Rahmatullah Alaih narrate: 'I was with the caravan of pilgrims in 637 Hijri. Due to some reason, I came down from my ride and fell asleep due to the weariness. When I woke up, the caravan had left and was out of my sight.' 'I started crying due to loneliness, fright and thirst. Lost all hope and saw myself being dragged towards death.' 'In this hopeless state, I raised my hands and prayed wholeheartedly,'O Allah Azzawajal! With the Wasila of your Habeeb Bestow your Mercy upon me and Send Assistance through the unseen for my help.' 'At that instant I heard a voice from 'Ghayb' and suddenly someone held my hand. My fear and thirst started diminishing and a person held my hand and assisted me. We hadn't reached far when I started hearing the noises from the caravan and the next instant I found myself and my ride with the Caravan.' 'I cannot describe the happiness I felt then, in words. ' 'After that, the person helped me on my ride and left me with the words of advise,'Whoever prays to Allah Azzawajal with my Wasila, Allah Azzawajal Will Always Fulfill his prayer.' 'These words made me realise that that Blessed Personality was none other than Syed-ul-Ambiya, Habeeb-e-Kibriya, Our Beloved Master .' 'As The Holy Prophet walked away, their Noor illuminated the dark desert and everything else shone. The fact of missing the Blessed Opportunity of kissing their feet left me helpless and in a very depressed state.' (Nazhat-Al-Nazirin) There are some Awliya Allah who are referred as 'Ashaab-e-Fatah'. They are Blessed with the observance of The Holy Prophet's personality in every moment of their life. It is a part of their spiritual status and not an authority that they may decide between visualising their presence or not but observe their Blessed Presence continuously. One of these Awliya Allah are the Blessed Imam Ahmad Abul Abbas Mursi Rahmatullah Alaih. They say,'Forty years have passed and never once, in this period, have I found The Holy Prophet veiled from my sight and if it happens for a moment that a veil may come between their Blessed Sight and me, I will not consider myself a Muslim.' (Anwar-ul-Aarifeen: Pages 829-830) -
THIS IS AN ARTICLE SO PLZ NO FATWA I READ IT ON NET & THOUGHT I WILL SHARE IT WITH MY ISLAMI BROS & SIS Eight lies of mother 1. The story began when I was a child; I was a son of a poor family in Africa. We did not even have enough food. Whenever meal times came, mother would often give me her portion of rice. While she was removing her rice into my bowl, she would say "Eat this rice, son. I'm not hungry". That was Mother's First Lie. 2. When I was growing up, my persevering mother gave her spare time to go fishing in a river near our house, she hoped that from the fish she caught, she could gave me a little bit of nutritious food for my growth. After fishing, she would cook some fresh fish soup, which raised my appetite. While I was eating the soup, mother would sit beside me and eat the rest of the fish, which was still on the bone of the fish I had eaten. My heart was touched when I saw that. I then used my chopstick and gave the other fish to her. But she immediately refused and said "Eat this fish, son. I don't really like fish." That was Mother's Second Lie. 3. Then, when I was in Junior High School...... to fund my studies, mother went to an economic enterprise to bring some used-match boxes that would need to be stuck together. It gave her some money to cover our needs. As the winter came, I woke up from my sleep and looked at my mother who was still awake, supported by a little candlelight and with perseverance she would continue the work of sticking some used-match boxes. I said, "Mother, go to sleep, it's late, tomorrow morning you still have to go to work." Mother smiled and said "Go to sleep, dear. I'm not tired." That was Mother's Third Lie. 4. The final term arrived.......mother asked for leave from work in order to accompany me. While the sun was starting to shine strongly, my persevering mother waited for me under the heat for several hours. As the bell rang, which indicated that the final exam had finished, mother immediately welcomed me and poured me a cup of tea that she had brought in a flask. Seeing my mother covered with perspiration, I at once gave her my cup and asked her to drink too. Mother said "Drink, son. I'm not thirsty ! " That was Mother's Fourth Lie. 5. After the death of my father due to illness, my poor mother had to play her role as a single parent. She had to fund our needs alone. Our family's life was more complicated. No days without suffering. Our family's condition was getting worse, a kind uncle who lived near our house assisted now and then. Our neighbours, often advised my mother to marry again. But mother was stubborn and didn't take their advice; she said "I don't need love." That was Mother's Fifth Lie. 6. After I had finished my studies and got a job, it was the time for my old mother to retire. But she didn't want to; she would go to the marketplace every morning, just to sell some vegetables to fulfill her needs. I, who worked in another city, often sent her some money to help her, in fulfilling her needs, but she would not accept the money. At times, she even sent the money back to me. She said "I have enough money." That was Mother's Sixth Lie. 7. After graduating with a Bachelors Degree, I then continued to do a Masters Degree. It was funded by a company through a scholarship program, from a famous University in America. I finally worked in the company. With a good salary, I intended to bring my mother to enjoy her life in America. But my lovely mother didn't want to bother her son. She said to me, "I'm not use to." That was Mother's Seventh Lie. 8. In her old age, mother got stomach cancer and had to be hospitalized. I, who lived miles away, across the ocean, went home to visit my dearest mother. She lay in weakness on her bed after having an operation. Mother, who looked so old, was staring at me in deep thought. She tried to spread her smile on her face...but it was a noticeable effort. It was clear that the disease had weakened mother's body. She looked so frail and weak. I stared at my mother with tears flowing. My heart was hurt,..... so hurt, seeing my mother in that condition. But mother with the little strength she had, said "Don't cry, my dear. I'm not in pain." That was Mother's Eighth Lie. After saying her eighth lie, my Dearest mother closed her eyes forever ! ***************** Abdullah ibn Umar(radhiyallahu anhu), once saw a man from Yemen carrying his mother on his back and going around the Kaaba in his tawaaf. Rather than showing any sign of complaint, the man was happy, repeating a line of poetry in which he likened himself to a camel his mother was mounting. He looked at Abdullah ibn Umar (radhiyAllahu anhu) and asked him. Whether by doing so he discharged his debt to his mother. Ibn Umar(radhiyAllahu anhu) said: No, you have not even paid back one twinge of her labor pain when she gave birth to you

A Great Lesson of Life from one of the Smallest Creatures of Allah

The Ant One morning Ahmed spent an hour watching a tiny ant carry a huge feather cross my back terrace. Several times it was confronted by obstacles in its path and after a momentary pause it would make the necessary detour. At one point the ant had to negotiate a crack in the concrete about 1 cm wide. After brief contemplation it laid the feather over the crack, walked across it and picked up the feather on the other side then continued on its way. Indeed Ahmed was fascinated by the ingenuity of this ant, one of Allah's smallest creatures. It served to reinforce the miracle of creation. Here was a minute insect, lacking in size, yet equipped with a brain to reason, explore, discover and overcome. But this ant, like the two-legged co-residents of this planet, also shares human weaknesses. After some time the ant finally reached its destination - a flower bed at the end of the terrace and a small hole that was the entrance to its underground home. And it was here that the ant finally met its match. How could that large feather possibly fit down small hole? Of course it couldn't. So the ant, after all this trouble and exercising great ingenuity, overcoming problems all along the way, just abandoned the feather and went home. The ant had not thought the problem through before it began its epic journey and in the end the feather was nothing more than a burden. Isn't OUR LIFE like that? We worry about our family, about money or the lack of it; we worry about work, our homes, about all sorts of things. These are all burdens - the things we pick up along life's path and maneuver them around the obstacles that life will bring, only to find that at the final destination they are useless and we can't take them along with us ... Life never seems to be the way we want it, but we live it the best way we can. There is no perfect life but we can fill it with perfect moments." -
An 80 year old man was sitting on the sofa in his house along with his 45 y ears old highly educated son. Suddenly a crow perched on their window. The father asked his son, 'What is this?' The son replied, 'It is a crow'. After a few minutes, the father asked his son the 2nd time, 'What is this?' The son said, 'Father, I have just now told you, It's a crow'. After a little while, the old father again asked his son the 3rd time, 'What is this?' At this time some expression of irritation was felt in the son's tone when he said to his father with a rebuff. 'It's a crow, a crow'. A little after, the father again asked his son the 4th time, 'What is this? ' This time the son shouted at his father, 'Why do you keep asking me the same question again and again, although I have told you so many times 'IT IS A CROW'. Are you not able to understand this?' A little later the father went to his room and came back with an old tattered diary, which he had maintained since his son was born. On opening a page, he asked his son to read that page. When the son read it, the following words were written in the diary:- 'Today my little son aged three was sitting with me on the sofa, when a crow was sitting on the window. My son asked me 23 times what it was, and I replied to him all 23 times that it was a crow I hugged him lovingly each time he asked me the same question again and again for 23 times. I did not at all feel irritated I rather felt affection for my innocent child'. While the little child asked him 23 times 'What is this?', the father had felt no irritation in replying to the same question all 23 times and when today the father asked his son the same question just 4 times, the son felt irritated and annoyed. So.... If your parents attain old age, do not repulse them or look at them as a burden, but speak to them a gracious word, be cool, obedient, humble and kind= to them.=A0 Be considerate to your parents. From today say this aloud, 'I want to see my parents happy forever. They have cared for me ever since I was a little child. They have always showered their selfless love on me. They crossed all mountains and valleys without seeing the storm and heat to make a person presentable in the society today'. Say a prayer to your Creator, 'I will serve my old parents in the best way. I will say all good and kind words to my dear parents, no matter how they behave. Allah says : Your Lord has enjoined the following: You should not worship anyone but Him Alone!=A0 Treat your parents with great kindness; if either or both of them attain old age, do not even say 'uff' to them; nor rebuke them; but speak to them kind words. Treat them with humility and tenderness and pray, "O our Lord, be merciful to them, just as they brought me up with kindness and affection in my childhood." During the golden Abbasid period, one of the scholars in Baghdad, the capital of Muslim caliphate at that time, was reputed to hold knowledge in high esteem. One day an acquaintance met the great scholar and said, "Do you know what I just heard about your friend?" "Hold on a minute," the scholar replied. "Before telling me anything I'd like you to pass a little test. It's called the Triple Filter Test." "Triple filter?" "That's right," the scholar continued. "Before you talk to me about my friend it might be a good idea to take a moment and filter what you're going to say. That's why I call it the triple filter test. The first filter is Truth. Have you made absolutely sure that what you are about to tell me is true?" "No," the man said, "actually I just heard about it and.." "All right," said the scholar. "So you don't really know if it's true or not. Now let's try the second filter, the filter of goodness. Is what you are about to tell me about my friend something good?" "No, on the contrary..." "So," the scholar continued, "you want to tell me something bad about him, but you're not certain it's true. You may still pass the test though, because there's one filter left: the filter of usefulness. Is what you want to tell me about my friend going to be useful to me?" "No, not really." "Well," concluded the scholar, "if what you want to tell me is neither true nor good nor even useful, why tell it to me at all?" "O ye who believe! Let not some men among you laugh at others: It may be that the (latter) are better than the (former)" ... (to end of surah) Hujurat 49.12 "And spy not on each other behind their backs..." (to end of surah) Hujurat 49.13 Praise be to Allah that we are Muslims...

Dialogue between a Flower and a Pearl A brilliantly beautiful and fragrant flower with attractive colors met a pearl that lives far in the bottom of the sea . One day, a brilliantly beautiful and fragrant flower with attractive colors met a pearl that lives far in the bottom of the sea and has none of these characteristics. Both got acquainted with each other. The flower said: "Our family is large; roses and daisies are members of the family. And there are many other species that are various and countless, each has a distinctive scent, appearance etc." Suddenly, a tinge of distress appeared on the flower. "Nothing accounts for sorrow in your talk; so why are depressed?" The pearl asked. "Human beings deal with us carelessly; they slight us. They don't grow us for our sake but to get pleasure from our fragrance and beautiful appearance. They throw us on the street or in the garbage can after we are dispossessed of the most valuable properties; brilliance and fragrance" The flower sighed. And then the flower said to the pearl: "Speak to me about your life! How do you live? How do you feel it? You are buried in the bottom of the sea. " The pearl answered: "Although I have none of your distinctive colors and sweet scents, humans think I am precious. They do the impossible to procure me. They go on long journeys, dive deep in the seas searching for me. You might be astounded to know that the further I lay, the more beautiful and brilliant I become. That's what upraises my value in their thought. I live in a thick shell isolated in the dark seas. However, I'm happy and proud to be in a safe zone far from wanton and mischievous hands and still the humans consider me highly valuable" Do you know what the flower and the pearl symbolize? Think Think You will find that: The flower is the unveiled woman (who shows her charms) and the pearl is the veiled woman (who conceals her beauties)

The Carpenter A highly skilled carpenter who had grown old was ready to retire. He told his employer-contractor of his plans to leave the house building business and live a more leisurely life with his family. He would miss the paycheck, but he needed to retire. The employer was sorry to see his good worker go and asked if he could build just one more house as a personal favor. The carpenter agreed to this proposal but made sure that this will be his last project. Being in a mood to retire, the carpenter was not paying much attention to building this house. His heart was not in his work. He resorted to poor workmanship and used inferior materials. It was an unfortunate way to end his career. When the job was done, the carpenter called his employer and showed him the house. The employer handed over some papers and the front door key to the carpenter and said "This is your house, my gift to you." The carpenter was in a shock! What a shame! If he had only known that he was building his own house, he would have made it better than any other house that he ever built! Our situation can be compared to this carpenter. Allah Ta'la has sent us to this world to build our homes in paradise by obeying His commands. Now, we have to decide how well we wish to build the homes where we will live forever.

Salatul Tasbih For forgiveness of All Sins Benefits of Salat-Ul-Tasbih Our Beloved Prophet Mohammed said to his uncle (father's brother) Sayyiduna Abbass Oh uncle shall I not give you Shall I not grant you Shall I not award you Shall I not do mercy on you When you do 10 things Allah will forgive your sins: of the future and of the past; new and old; those you have forgotten and those you did knowingly; big and small; hidden and revealed. Then he explained the taught the way to pray Salatul Tasbih and then said if you can pray this salah once a day, if you can not pray once a day then every Friday, and even if this is not possible then once a month and even if this is not possible then once a year and even if this is not possible then at least once in a lifetime (Abu'Dawood & Tirimzi) How to perform Salatul Tasbih? This salaat (namaz) is offered in four rakat at a time and can be read in any part of the day and night besides Zawal and Sunrise and Sunset makrooh times, keeping in mind the forbidden times for performing Salat (namaaz). But is is preferred before Zuhr (Fatawa Alamgeeri) The Tasbih to be read in Salaat-Ul-Tasbeeh: " Subhaan Allahi Wal Hamdulillahi Wa Laa ilaha illal Laahu Wallahu Akbar " Method: Goal is to recite above Tasbih 300 times in Four Rakah with the following method. In the first rakaat, after reading Sana "Subhaana Kallahumma...", read the above tasbih 15 times. Now recite Aaoz "Aoozubillah...", Bismillah "Bismillah...", Then read sura Fatiha and a Surah or minimum of three small Ayayhs then read the tasbih 10 times again. Go to ruku saying Takbeer (Allah Hoo Akbar), after reciting "Subhaana Rabbiyal Azeem" minimum of three times read the tasbih 10 times in Ruku. Saying "Samee Allahu Liman Hamidah Rabbana Lakal Hamdh" get up from ruku to qiyam position. Now read the tasbih 10 times. Go to Sajdah saying Takbeer (Allah Hoo Akbar) and after reciting "Subhaana Rabbiyal A'la" minimum of three times read the tasbih 10 times in Sajdah. Now go after first Sajdah go to Jalsa (sitting position) saying Takbeer (Allah Hoo Akbar). Sitting in Jalsa read tasbih 10 times. Go to sajda again saying Takbeer (Allah Hoo Akbar) and after reciting "Subhaana Rabbiyal A'la" minimum of three times read the tasbih 10 times in Sajdah again. Get up to begin 2nd rakat saying Takbeer (Allah Hoo Akbar). Do rakah #2 in same fashion, but before reading Bismillah "Bismillah...", and Surah Fatiha, read the tasbih 15 times. Follow the rest as you did in first Rakat. After second Sajdah of Second Rakat sit in Qaidah Oola (first sitting) read Attahiyat, Durood and Dua then get up for 3rd rakaat without saying Salam. Begin third Rakat, just like the first Rakat, with Sana "Subhaana Kallahumma...", read the above tasbih 15 times. Follow the rest as you did in first Rakat untill you sit for Qaidah Akihra (last sitting) after second sajdah of fourth Rakah. In Qaidah Akihra Attahiyat, Durood, Dua finish Salah with Salam. Special notes for Salat-Ul-Tasbih: 1) Do not count loudly. It will break Salah 2) Do not count on fingers or by holding a Bead Tasbih in hand. It is Makruh. 3) You may count by pressing the fingers as a reminder. For example if you are in Ruku. You me press pinky of your right hand first for the first count, then the finger next to it for second count, then the middle finger for third count, following this method untill you reach the pinky of left hand will give you an exact count of ten. Use the same method in Qayam, Sajdah and Jalsa. 4) If missed a count then make it up in the next posture. For example if forgot to recite Tasbih after Surah in Qayam. Then you may recite Tasbish 20 times instead of 10 in Rukuh after "Subhaana Rabbiyal Azeem". Missed Tasbih cannot be recited in Qayam after ruku and Jalsa between Sajdah. If you missed the Tasbih in Ruku then recite 20 in the first Sajdah instead of the Qayam after rukuh. Similarly if missed the Tasbih in first Sajdah then do not make it up in Jalsa. Instead recite missed tasbih in the second Sajdah. If Tasbih has been missed in last sajdah of second or fourth Rakah then you can recite the missed ones before Attahiyat in Qaidah. 5) If you miss a wajib in Salah and have to do Sajdah Sahaw. You dont have to recite Tasbih in Sajdah sahoo, since the 300 count has been estalished. But if you had missed Tasbih in any of the postures and remeber it now. Then you may recite the missed Tasbih in Sajdah Sahaw now. 6) It is preferable to recite after Surah Fatiha Sura Takathuur in the first raka', Surah Wal A'sr in the second raka', Surah Kaferoon (qul ya aiyuhal Kafiroon) in the third and Surah Akhlas (Qul hu Allah-hu ahd) in the fourth raka'. If one does not remember these surah they can recite the ones they prefer. May Allah accept this dua' (supplication) for the sake of the trustworthy PROPHET MOHAMMED

Laylat-ul-Baraa`ah / Shab-e-Baraat / Night of Absolution

Laylat-ul-Baraa`ah / Shab-e-Baraat / Night of Absolution (15th of Sha’baan) This special night is known by many names: Nisf-Sha’baan, Laylat-ul-Baraa`ah, Shab-e-Baraat, the Night of Absolution. It is indeed a blessed night because it is a vessel for the mercy, blessing, benefit, pardon and forgiveness of Allah Almighty descending for the people on earth. Allah has said in His Glorious Quran: “Haa-Meem. By the Book that makes plain; We sent it down on a blessed night - indeed it is We Who warn. [A night] in which every firm decree is made distinct.” [Al-Quran, Surah Al-Dhukhan, 44:1-4] According to the exegesis (tafseer) of Hazrat Ibn Abbas “Haa-Meem” means that Allah has predetermined everything in existence till the Day of Resurrection. “The Book that makes plain” is the Quran. “The blessed night” is the night of mid-Sha’baan. This interpretation is shared by most of the exegetes (mufassireen). Hazrat Ikrimah is reported as having said, about the above verse 4 : “That is the night of mid-Sha’baan, when Allah Almighty arranges the affairs of the year. He transfers [some of] the living to the list of the dead…” It is said that the angels have two Nights of Festival in heaven, just as the Muslims have two Days of Festival one earth. The angels celebrate the Laylat-ul-Baraa`ah (Night of Absolution) and the Laylat-ul-Qadr (Night of Power), while the Muslims celebrate the Eid-ul-Fitr (Day of Breakfast) and the Eid-ul-Adha (Day of Sacrifice). Hazrat Abu Hurayra reported the Holy Prophet as saying: “Jibreel came to me on the night of mid-Sha’baan and said to me: ‘O Muhammad , raise your head heavenwards!’ I asked him: ’What night is this?’ and he replied: ‘This is the night when Allah opens three hundred of the gates of mercy, forgiving all who do not make anything His partner. The only exceptions are those who practice sorcery or divination, are addicted to wine, or persist in usury and illicit ######; these He does not forgive until they repent.’ At a quarter of the night, Jibreel came down and said: ‘O Muhammad , raise your head!’ So I looked up, to behold the gates of Paradise wide open. At the first gate an angel was calling: ‘Good news for those who bow in worship in this night!’ At the second gate an angel was calling: ‘Good news for those who prostrate themselves in worship this night!’ At the third gate an angel was calling: ‘Good news for those who offer supplication this night!’ At the fourth gate an angel was calling: ‘Good news for those who make remembrance this night!’ At the fifth gate an angel was calling: ‘Good news for those who weep this night from fear of Allah !’ At the sixth gate an angel was calling: ’Good news for those who submit this night!’ At the seventh gate an angel was calling: ‘Will anyone ask, that his request may be granted?’ At the eighth gate an angel was calling: ‘Will anyone seek forgiveness, that he may be forgiven?’ I said: ‘O Jibreel, how long will these gates remain open?’ He replied: ‘From the beginning of the night until the break of dawn.’ Then he said: ‘O Muhammad , tonight Allah has as many slaves emancipated from the Fire as the number of woolly hairs on the flocks and herds of Kalb1.’” Salat ul-Khayr (the Prayer of Benefits) The ritual prayer traditional for the night of mid-Sha’baan consists of 100 cycles2 (raka’ah), including one thousand repetitions of Surah Ikhlaas [Al-Quran 112:1-4] (i.e., 10 recitations in each cycle) The blessings of this prayer are many and varied. Our righteous predecessors used to gather to perform it in congregation. It contains much merit and rich reward. It is reported of Iman Hasan al-Basri , that he once said: “Thirty of the Companions of Allah’s Messenger related to me that Allah will look 70 times upon one who performs this prayer on this night, and with each glance He will fulfill seventy of that person’s needs, the least of them being forgiveness.” Excellence of the Month of Sha’baan and fasting in it According to Hazrat Abu Hurayra , the Prophet once said: “Sha’baan is my month, Rajab is Allah’s month, and Ramadan is the month of my Community. Sha’baan is the expiator, while Ramadan is the purifier.” The Holy Prophet also said: “Sha’baan is a month between Rajab and Ramadan. People tend to neglect it but that is when the deeds of His servants ascend to the Lord of All the Worlds, so I would rather mine rose up while I was fasting.” Hazrat Umm Salama is reported as having said: “In no other month, apart from Ramadan, did Allah’s Messenger fast more often than in Sha’baan. And that was because each Sha’baan, all who must die in the course of that year have their names transcribed from the list of the living onto that of the dead, and a man may embark on a journey even while his name is listed among those about to die.” According to Hazrat Abdullah , the Holy Prophet said: “Anyone who fasts on the last Monday3 of Sha’baan will be granted forgiveness.” [please note that it is forbidden to anticipate the month of Ramadan by one or two days] Information Source: Hazrat Shaykh Abdul Qadir Jilani’s Al-Ghunya li-Talibi Tareeq al-Haqq (Sufficient Provision for Seekers of the Path of Truth) – Volume 3, pages 54-69 Note:- 1 Kalb was a tribe well known for it very woolly sheep. 2 These can be performed in sets of 2 cycles (50 sets to make 100 cycles) or 4 cycles (25 sets to make 100 cycles) 3 For this Hijri year of 1425, the last Monday of Sha’baan is on October 11, 2004.
