    Hadrat Fatima (Radi Allah anha)

Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem ASALATU WASALAMU ALAYKA YA RASULLALLAH Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam Hadrat Fatima (Radi Allah anha) The Princess of Paradise. Glancing at the imposing and Beloved Family of the Last Prophet (Sallall Allahu Ta'ala alaihi Wa sallam) of Allah (Subhanah wa Ta'ala), our eyes lower down in the respect of Sayyidah Fatima (Radi Allah anha), the youngest daughter of the Blessed Prophet (Salla Allahu Ta'ala alaihi wa sallam) and Hadrat Khadija-tul-Kubra (radi Allah anha) and the paramount figure in the history of Islam. She is one that innocence adores her, chastity ventures pride in her and modesty, with folded hands, stands before her. Introduction. Her name is Fatima and Zahrah (having gleaming and luminous face), Batool (aloof from the worldly pleasures), Tahirah (chaste and modest) are her titles. Her very titles endorse her position as a religious minded, ideal and prestigious figure among the entire woman in the world. Birth. She was born in the divine environment of Makkah when the Blessed Prophet (Sallall Allahu Ta'ala alaihi wa sallam) had passed 35 years of His Blessed life, at the time when the quraish were renovating the house of Allah (Subhanah wa Ta'ala). Childhood to Adolescence. Hadrat Sayyidah Fatima (Radi Allahu Anha) was very calm, serene and sober even in her childhood and she never participated in games etc. She would spend most of her times in the exalted company of her Parents and ask such questions, which bespeak her intelligence and maturity. She showed her fully detachment from all allurements and fascinations of worldly life. Being the daughter of the beloved Prophet of the Universe (Sallall Allahu Ta'ala Wa alaihi wa sallam) and due to the blood that was running in her veins, she was bestowed with exceptional characteristics and distinctions. The precious bouquet of guidance of the Beloved Prophet (Sallall Allahu Ta'ala Alaihi wa sallam), which spruced her personality up and groomed, her hidden potentials remained with her for the rest of her life. Social boycott. When Sayyidah Fatimah (Radi Allahu anha) was about 12 years old, when she had to face very painful circumstances in the form of social boycott. From the tenth month of the seventh year of Huzoor (Salla Allahu Ta'ala alaihi wa sallam) mission till the tenth year, for a period of 3 years, the Beloved Prophet (Salla Allahu Ta'ala alaihi wa sallam), along with his family and the whole of Banu Hashim was confined within a pass at some distance from Makkah called 'Shabi Abi Talib'. The supply of food was almost stopped and the people in confinement faced great hardships. The condition of children was especially miserable. Due to the scarcity of food the people were, at times, forced to eat leaves of trees. Neither Hadrat Muhammad (Sallall Allahu Ta'ala alaihi Wa sallam) nor his companions were permitted to return to their homes. This confinement told upon the health of Sayyidah Fatima (Radi Allahu anha), which persisted throughout her life. Death Of kind and loving mother. Pains and problems did not divert their direction even after the episode of confinement and social boycott. Hadrat khadija (radi Allahu anha), the Mother of Hadrat Fatima (Radi Allahu anha), left this world in the favour of heavenly World. This was a great shock to Hadrat Fatima (Radi Allahu anha) because she had been deprived of a loving and kindhearted Mother. Whenever she felt lonely and bereaved Hadrat Hafsa (Radi Allahu anha), Hadrat Aisha (radi Allahu anha) and Hadrat Asma (radi Allahu anha) would come and console her. Migration When the non-Muslims of Makkah became more violent in their enmity and they inflicted more and more sufferings on the Muslims. The blessed Prophet (Sallall Allahu Ta'ala Alaihi Wa sallam), at the behest of Allah (Subhanah wa Ta'ala), migrated from Makkah to Madina. A few days after reaching Madina, the Beloved prophet (Sallall Allahu Ta'ala alaihi Wa sallam) sent his slaves Hadrat Abu Raafi and Hadrat Zaid bin Haritha to bring his family members. Hence, Hadrat Fatima, Hadrat Umme Kulthoom, Hadrat Saudah, Hadrat Umm-e-Yamn (Radi Allahu anha) and Hadrat Usama bin Zaid (Radi Allahu anhu), migrated to Madina in the company of Hadrat Raafi and Hadrat Zaid (Radi Allahu anho) Her Marriage At the time of migration, Hadrat Fatima (Radi Allahu anha) had reached the age of puberty. First of all, Hadrat Abu Bakr Siddique (Radi Allahu anho), sent the offer of marriage for Hadrat Fatima (radi Allahu anha) to the Blessed Prophet (Sallall Allahu alaihi Wa sallam) remained silent. Then Hadrat Umar (Radi Allahu Anho) expressed his willingness and in the reply the Blessed Prophet (Sallall Allah Ta'ala alaihi wa sallam) said, ?It will be on Allah's (Subhanah Wa Ta?ala) Command.? At last, the Blessed Prophet (Sallall Allahu Ta'ala alaihi Wa sallam) betrothed Hadrat Fatima (Radi Allahu anha) to Hadrat Ali (Radi Allahu anha). On the day of the marriage, the Beloved Prophet (Sallall Allahu Ta'ala Alaihi Wa sallam) ordered Hadrat Anas (radi Allahu anha) to call Hadrat Abu Bakr, Hadrat Umar, Hadrat Uthman, Hadrat Abul Rehman bin Auf and the Muhajireen and Ansaar (Radi Allahu anha). The Blessed Prophet (Salla Allahu Ta'ala alaihi Wa sallam) recited the wedding sermon himself, and said to Hadrat Ali (Radi Allahu anha) with a smile playing on his face: '' I married Fatima to you for four hundred Mithqaal silver jointure. Do you agree'' Hadrat Ali submitted- ' Yes, of course.' At the time of marriage, Hadrat Fatima (Radi Allahu anha) was nearly 19 years old, whereas Hadrat Ali (Radi Allahu anha) was almost 21 years old. Dowry. The detail of dowry items 'which' the Beloved of Allah (Subhanah Ta'ala) gave to His daughter is as under: 1 A couch or bed. 2 A pillow of leather stuffed with date bark. 3 A water skin 4 Bedding 5 Two pots. 6 One grindstone 7 Two bed sheets. 8 One Prayer Mat.
