Repentance of Malik bin Dinar Malik bin Dinar narrated the following story about himself, saying, "I was a man who indulged in fun and enjoyment and suffered from an overwhelmingly addiction to wine. I bought a slave girl with whom I was very happy. She later gave birth to a beautiful girl who I loved dearly. I saw her progress from crawling to walking. Whenever I sat down for a drink, she would come and take the cup from my hands and spill the wine on the ground. At the tender age of two years she died and left me grieving. It was the night of the fifteenth of Sha'ban and I fell asleep drunk. I saw in my dream that it was the Day of Resurrection and I came out of my grave with a huge sea serpent after me. I began to run but it chased me. The faster I ran, the faster it came. I passed by an old man dressed in clean garments who was very weak. I called out to him "O Sheikh, please save me from this monster!" He replied, "O my son, I am a very old man and this monster is too powerful for me,. I cannot prevail from it. Perhaps if you carry on someone else may be able to help you.'' I continued to run, with serpent still following me. I passed by a pit of blazing fire and was about to fall into it, but someone said, ''You are not its inhabitant,'' On hearing this I turned and ran towards the mountain, I found that there were many gates to it and each gate had guards. A voice called out, ''Let this wretched man in before his enemy captures him.'' The gates opened and I saw a group of children there faces shone like the moo, and among them was my little girl! She came towards me like a beam of light and with her right hand hit the serpent, which then fled. She sat by me and said, ''O my father, has not the time arrived for the heart of those who believe to submit to Allah's reminder (Dhikr) and the truth (Quran) which has been revealed?'' I replied, ;;O my child, do you know the Qur'an?'' She answered, ''I learnt it from you.'' I the asked, ''O my daughter, What are you doing here?'' She said we are Muslim children who have died and we will live here until the Day of Resurrection and wait for our parents.'' At this I said , '' O my daughter, who was that monster chasing and trying to kill me?'' She said, ''O my father, that was your bad deeds, which you accumulated and could have destroyed you.'' I then asked, ''And who was that weak old man?'' She said, ''He was you good deeds, which you weakened to such an extant that they had no power to defend you. Therefore, O my father, repent and turn towards Allah, and be not among those who will perish,'' Suddenly I woke up. I repented for my sins and turned to Allah. The lesson we learn from this tory is that when young children die in infancy and their parents show patience and control of their emotions, it becomes a means of their salvation in the Hereafter. Allah Most High has taught us, when He tries us with an afflicton, to say: All praise is due to Allah. Truly, we are Allah's and truly unto Him is the return.

دور جہالت کے پروردہ ایک شخص نے اپنی بیٹی حضرت فاطمہ زہرا سلام اللّہ علیہا کے ساتھ نبی اکرم صلی اللّہ علیہ و آلہ و اصحابہ وسلم کی محبت کا عالم دیکھا تو حیرت زدہ رہ گيا ۔ آنکھوں سے آنسو نکل آئے سوچنے لگا کہ آہ کس بے دردی سے میں نے اپنی پارۂ جگر کو صرف دور جہالت کی عصبیت کی بنا پر زندہ در گور کر دیا تھا۔ اور پھر نبی اکرم صلی اللّہ علیہ و آلہ و اصحابہ وسلم کے استفسار پر اپنی داستان بیان کرنا شروع کردی ۔ میری بیوی حاملہ تھی ، ان ہی دنوں میں ایک سفر پر مجبور ہوگیا عرصے بعد پلٹ کرآیا تو اپنے گھر میں ایک بچی کو کھیلتے دیکھا بیوی سے پوچھا : یہ کون ہے ؟ تو بیوی نے کہا یہ تمہاری بیٹی ہے اور پھر کسی نامعلوم خوف کے تحت ، التجا آمیزلہجے میں کہا : ذرا دیکھو تو کس قدر پیاری بچی ہے اس کے وجود سے گھر میں کتنی رونق ہے ، یہ اگر زندہ رہے گي تو تمہاری یادگار بن کر تمہارے خاندان اور قبیلے کا نام زندہ رکھے گی ۔ میں نے گردن جھکالی ، بیوی کا کوئی جواب دئے بغیر لڑکی کو بغور دیکھتا رہا لڑکی کچھ دیر تو اجنبی نگا ہوں سے مجھے تکتی رہی پھر نہ جانے کیا سوچکر بھاگتی ہوئی آئی اور میرے سینے سے لپٹ گئی ، میں نے بھی جذبات کی رو میں اس کوآغوش میں بھر لیا اور پیار کرنے لگا کچھ عرصہ یونہی گزر گیا ۔ لڑکی آہستہ آہستہ بڑی ہوتی رہی اور ہوشیار ہوئی سن بلوغ کےقریب پہنچ گئی اب ماں کو میری طرف سے بالکل اطمینان ہو چکا تھا میرا رویہ بھی بیٹی کے ساتھ محبت آمیز تھا ۔ ایک دن میں نے اپنی بیوی سے کہا : ذرا اس کو بنا سنوار دو،میں قبیلے کی ایک شادی میں اسے لے جاؤں گا ماں بیچاری خوش ہو گئی اور جلدی سے سجاسنوار کر تیار کردیا ۔ میں نے لڑکی کا ہاتھ پکڑ ا اور گھر سے روانہ ہوگيا ۔ ایک غیر آباد بیابان میں پہنچ کر پہلے سے تیار شدہ ایک گڑھے کےقریب میں کھڑا ہوگیا لڑکی جو بڑی خوشی کے ساتھ اچھلتی کودتی چلی آرہی تھی میرے قریب آ کر رک گئی اور بڑی معصومیت سے سوال کیا : بابا یہ گڑھا کا ہے کے لئے ہے ؟ میں نے سپاٹ لہجے میں اس سے کہا : اپنے خاندانی رسم و رواج کے مطابق میں تم کو اس میں دفن کردینا چاہتا ہوں تاکہ تمہاری پیدائش سے ہمارے خاندان اور قبیلے کو جو ذلت و رسوائی ہوئی ہے اس سے نجات مل جائے ۔ لڑکی کو صورت حال کا اندازہ ہوا تو اس کے چہرے کا رنگ اڑ گيا اور قبل اس کے اس کی طرف سے کسی رد عمل کا اظہار ہو ، میں نے اس کو گڑھے میں ڈھکیل دیا ۔ لڑکی دیر تک روتی اور گڑ گڑاتی رہی لیکن مجھ پر اس کے نالہ و فریاد کا کوئی اثر نہ ہوا ۔ میں نے گڑھے کو مٹی سے بھر دیا ، اگر چہ آخر وقت تک وہ ہاتھ اٹھائے مجھ سے زندگی کی التجا کررہی تھی لیکن افسوس ! میں نے اپنے دل کے ٹکڑے کو زندہ در گور کردیا لیکن اس کی آخری التجا اب بھی میرے کانوں میں لاوے ٹپکاتی رہتی ہے :" بابا تم نے مجھے تو دفن کردیا لیکن میری ماں کوحقیقت نہ بتانا کہہ دینا کہ میں بیٹی کو اپنے قبیلے والوں میں چھوڑ آیا ہوں "۔ اپنے عرب صحابی سے ایک بیٹی کے زندہ در گور کر دئے جانے کی داستان سنی تو حضور صلی اللّہ علیہ و آلہ و اصحابہ وسلم کی آنکھوں سے آنسوؤں کا سیلاب جاری ہوگیا ۔ اس وقت نبی اکرم صلی اللّہ علیہ و آلہ و اصحابہ وسلم کی آغوش میں جناب فاطمہ سلام اللّہ علیہا بیٹھی ہوئی تھیں ان کی آنکھوں میں بھی نمی نظر آئی نبی اکرم صلی اللّہ علیہ و آلہ و اصحابہ وسلم نے بیٹی کو سینے سے لگالیا اور آپ صلی اللّہ علیہ و آلہ و اصحابہ وسلم کے ہونٹوں پر یہ جملے جاری ہوگئے : بیٹی تو رحمت ہے اور پھر آسمان کی طرف دیکھتے ہوئے فرمایا : میں فاطمہ کو دیکھ کر اپنے مشام جان کو بہشت کی خوشبو سے معطر کرتا ہوں۔ _________________ بار الٰہا میں تجھ سے موت کے وقت آرام و راحت اور قیامت کے حساب و کتاب کے وقت عفوو مغفرت کا طالب ھوں۔ Please love ur daughter.............. rember me in duas

It is on the authority of Hazrat Amr bin Shuaib (radi Allahu anhu), who narrated from his father who narrated from his father that the Prophet (sall Allaho alaihi wasallam) is reported to have said, "Eat, drink, give sadqa and dress up, as long as there is no wasting and pride in what you do."
