Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu ASALATU WASALAMU ALAYKA YA RASULLALLAH Hazrat Salman Farsi Radi Allahu anhu narrates that RasulAllah Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam said in his sermon on the day of 'Shaban' that one who arranges for the break of fast of a person his/her misdeeds, will be forgiven and his/ger neck will be set free from fire (of Hell). He/she will equally be blessed with the person who was on fast. A question was asked Ya RasoolAllah Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam each and every person from us in not capable to arrange the break of fast. The Prophet Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam said: 'One who makes the break of fast with one date or with a cup of milk or with one draught of water he/she will be rewarded. He/she will drink water from my pond (in the Paradise) and he/she never be thirsty till enters into the paradise (Behaqui Shu-bul Imam) Wa'alaykum 'Assalam wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu

Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu ASALATU WASALAMU ALAYKA YA RASULLALLAH Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam The Fast Of The Backbiter Once, two women observed fast. Down with hunger and thirst they had very bad stomach ache. They sent some one to our beloved Prophet Sayyedina Muhammad Mustufa Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam seeking permission to break their fast, during the last hours of the day. Our beloved Prophet Sayyedina Muhammad Mustufa Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam sent them a bowl and directed the intermediary to ask the women to vomit in the bowl whatever they had eaten. The first woman vomited; half of her vomiting was pure blood and the rest half was fresh meat. Thus, half of the bowl was full. The second one also vomited the same, thus the bowl was full. It was a matter of considerable punishment to the people . Our Beloved Prophet Sayyedina Muhammad Mustufa Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam told the people ; " Both the women observed their fast by eating the permissible but broke their fast by consuming the forbidden" Our beloved Prophet Sayedina Muhammad Mustufa Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam is reported to have said; "When someone from among you keeps fast, he should neither use disrespectful language, nor should he talk ignorantly. In case someone abuses him, in response he should say that he is fasting" The Moral behind the story is backbiting is likened to eating the flesh of your brother or sister. This is portrayed very well in the above story where the women vomitted blood and flesh. To fast is to refrain from all sins and if you hear idle gossip or slander you walk away from it saying I am fasting and the same applies to if someone abuses or slanders you , you dont retaliate back with abuse but walk away saying I am I am fasting. ASALATU WASALAMU ALAYKA YA RASULLALLAH Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam

8 ways to boost your Ramadan spirit this year

Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu ASALATU WASALAMU ALAYKA YA RASULLALLAH Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam Top 8 ways to boost your Ramadan spirit this year 1)Dua Ask Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala to make this the most awesome, spiritually uplifting Ramadan you've ever had. Only He can make it happen and relying on Him completely is one step in boosting our spirits. 2)Quiet your mind. TV, internet, radio, cell phone, pager, iPod, etc. No, not all day, but for at least 10 minutes a day. Find a quiet place, close your eyes and connect with Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala. At first, your mind will swirl with the useless and not-so-useless info in your head. But force it to think of three things in these few minutes: Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala your purpose in life are you living your life on purpose? Do this every day of Ramadan if you can. If that's not possible, try it at least three times a week. 3)Learn about great Muslims Read books on Prophets and Companions of the Prophet Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam, this is a wonderful way to see how other Muslims retained their strength of faith against incredible odds. A sure-fire spirituality booster. 4)Connect to the Quran The Quran is Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala's way of talking to us. It's one of the most important keys to spiritual upliftment. This Ramadan, connect to the Quran in a new way. If you already read Quran regularly, perhaps you can choose a new theme to focus on or select a Surah you haven't read in a while. If you don't read Quran regularly, maybe you can read just two minutes of Quran a day, reading only from the first page you encounter when you open up the Book. 5)Take care of others Whether it's someone who's away from their family, a person who's having problems with a spouse or their kids or a fellow student struggling with their grades, make an extra effort this Ramadan to help others out. The spiritual boost you get in return is well worth it. 6)Feed the hungry Arrange to send money to the poor in rder to pay for their sehri/Iftari. 7)Give up one lifelong bad habit Ask yourself what some of your defining traits are. Then decide which is the worst of them. Is it a hot temper? Apathy? Laziness? Impatience? Whatever it is, use this Ramadan to put an end to it. . 8)Use those Nights of Power The last ten nights or Ramadan aren't called the Nights of Power for nothing. Use these precious times for deep, heartfelt Dua (supplication), self-analysis, reflection and serious thought. May we all follow these tips for a smooth Ramadan and for endless success ameen. Wa'alaykum 'Assalam wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu -

It is on the authority of Hazrat Abu Hurairah (radi Allahu anhu) that the Prophet (sall Allaho alaihi wasallam) is reported to have said,” If a person (Muslim) keeps fast for one day solely for the pleasure of Allah, then Almighty Allah will keep him such a vast distance away from hell, as if he started to fly from childhood until he became old. (In other words, this is how far away he would be kept from Jahanum, the distance covered in flying for all his life) (Baihaqi)
