Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu AVOID * Fried and fatty foods. * Foods containing too much sugar. * Over-eating especially during the meal before Dawn (sehri. or suhur) * Too much tea during the meal before Dawn (sehri. or suhur). Tea makes you pass more urine taking with it valuable mineral salts that your body would need during the day. * Smoking cigarettes. If you cannot give up smoking, cut down gradually starting a few weeks before Ramadan. Smoking is unhealthy and one should stop completely. EAT * Complex carbohydrates during the meal before Dawn (sehri. or suhur) so that the food lasts longer making you less hungry. * Haleem is an excellent source of protein and is a slow-burning food. * Dates are excellent source of sugar, fibre, carbohydrates, potassium and magnesium. * Almonds are rich in protein and fibre with less fat. * Bananas are a good source of potassium, magnesium and carbohydrates. DRINK * As much water or fruit juices as possible between iftar (Breaking fasting) and bedtime so that your body may adjust fluid levels in time. Common Medical Problems CONSTIPATION Constipation can cause piles (haemorroids), fissures (painful cracks in ###### canal) and indigestion with a bloated feeling. Causes: Too much refined foods, too little water and not enough fibre in the diet. Remedy: Avoid excessive refined foods, increase water intake, use bran in baking, brown flour when making roti. INDIGESTION AND WIND Causes: Over-eating. Too much fried and fatty foods, spicy foods, and foods that produce wind e.g. eggs, cabbage, lentils, carbonated drinks like Cola also produce gas. LETHARGY ('low blood pressure') Excessive sweating, weakness, tiredness, lack of energy, dizziness, especially on getting up from sitting position, pale appearance and feeling faint are symptoms associated with "low blood pressure". This tends to occur towards the afternoon. Causes: Too little fluid intake, decreased salt intake. Remedy: Keep cool, increase fluid and salt intake. Caution: Low blood pressure should be confirmed by taking a blood pressure reading when symptoms are present. Persons with high blood pressure may need their medication adjusted during Ramadan. They should consult their doctor.

Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu ASALATU WASALAMU ALAYKA YA RASULLALLAH Allaah's Messenger , salla Allahu alaihi wa sallam, described the morning after Lailatul-Qadr, so that the Muslim may know which day it is. From Ubayy, radhiya Allahu 'anhu, who said: that he, salla Allahu alaihi wa sallam, said: "On the morning following Lailatui-Qadr the sun rises not having any rays, as if it were a brass dish, until it rises up." [Muslim, Abu Dawud, Tirmithi and Ibn Majah]

Urs of Sayyidah Aisha Siddiqa Radi Allahu anha 17 Ramdan
Gham-e-Madinah replied to Gham-e-Madinah's topic in اسلامی تہوار
Sayyidah Aisha Siddiqah (Radi Allahu anha) replied: There is no need to consult this matter with my parents. I choose Allah and his Messenger. The other wives gave the same reply. Her Excellences. Many Hadith exhibit the exalted position of Hadrat Aisha (Radi Allahu anha) among other Muslim ladies. Some of them are as under The Blessed Prophet (Sallall Allahu Taala Alaihi Wasallam) says You had a dream shown to me for 3 successive nights in dream. An angel brought you (your photo) wrapped in a piece of white silk and said It is your wife. I exposed your face and there you were. Then I said, If this dream is from Allah, He will realize it. (Bukhari, Muslim) Hence, she is the one whose marriage was suggested, decided and realised by Allah (Subhanah WA Taala) Himself. Hadrat Aisha (Radi Allahu anha) herself reports that the Beloved Prophet (Sallall Allahu Taala Alaihi Wasallam) says: O Aisha! This is Jibrail who greets you. She replied Salutation and Mercy of Allah be upon Him (Bukhari, Muslim) -

The hypocrites spread a rumour that the Beloved Prophet divorced his wives. Sayyidonaa Umar (Radi Allahu anha) heard the rumour and asked the Prophet Sallall Allahu Taala Alaihi Wasallam). Our Beloved Prophet (Sallall Allahu Tala said it was not true, And Hadrat Umar informed the wives this , who were very pleased to hear this. After 29 days The Prophet (Sallall Allahu Taala Alaihi Wasallam) visited Hadrat Aisha (Radi Allahu Taala Alaihi Wasallam), Hadrat Aisha was pleased and surprised to see him and said: You promised me you would not strain yourself for a month but it has only been 29 days The Beloved Prophet (Sallall Allahu Taala Alaihi Wasallam) smiled and said: Sometimes there are only 29 days in the month. After the incident of Iilaaa, one day the Beloved Prophet (Sallall Allahu taala Alaihi Wasallam) went to Aisha (Radi Allahu Taala anha) and said: I am going to ask you a question, tell me your answer after discussing it with your Parents. She (Radi Allahu anha) said Ya Rasulallah! What is the matter? Our Beloved Prophet recited the verses of Ah-Zaab from the Quran O Prophet (Muhammad Sallall Allahu Taala Alaihi Wasallam)! Say to your wives If you desire the life of this world, and its glitter, then come! I will make a provision for you and set you free in a handsome manner. But if you desire Allah and His Messenger, and the home of the Hereafter, then verily, Allah has prepared for the Al-Muhsinat (good-doers) amongst you an enormous reward. (Al-Ahzab 33: 28-29) -

Incident of Iilaa. The food was fixed for the wives of the Prophet (Sallall Allahu Taala Alaihi Wasallam). They had only small amounts of food. One time there was an increase in the money and the wives wanted an increase in the amount of food. Sayyidonaa Siddique Akbar (Radi Allahu anhu) stopped his daughter Sayyidah Aisha Siddiqah (Radi Allahu anha) and Umar Faruuq (Radi Allahu anhu) stopped his daughter Sayyidah Hafsah (Radi Allahu anha) from this increase because they thought this would upset the Beloved Prophet (Sallall Allahu Taala Alaihi Wasallam). One day when out riding on a horse Our Beloved Prophet Sallall Allahu Taala Alaihi Wasallam) fell off the horse and injured one side of his body. He Sallall Allahu Taala Alaihi Wasallam) stayed on the second floor near Sayyidah Aisha (Radi Allahu anha) room and promised to not visit his wives for a month while he was healing. -
"O Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala! I beg of you for the sake of Your Most Beautiful Names and the mystery of the Glorious Qur'an, and for the sake of Your Chosen Prophet Muhammad Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam, on him be the choicest blessings and complete peace, and for the sake of the noble warriors of the Battle of Badr, that You help the religion of Islam and fulfil all our needs O The Most Merciful of those who show mercy."

O Majestic Ramadhan Moon, Appearing as He throws the veil of night over the day. Coyly smiling at all the attention you are attracting. A blush of pink appears on your expanding form, A tint of a golden glow ordained in cosmic mansions. Your encounters with all the Heavenly bodies Prescribing order Preventing chaos. Your script reveals the next forgiving phase. Preceded by rains of Mercy, Having fallen on floods of tears, The Almighty Willing, Prepares you for the third and final act of this celestial dance. A promised freedom From the fiercest of Fires. O Majestic Ramadhan Moon, Surely you also hear our cries. Certainly you see our parched hunger For Him, Who created all with Truth. Signs manifest for a people who discern. Throngs seeking the Divine order you portray and convey. His is the creation and the command. Blessed is Allah, the Lord of the worlds. O Majestic Ramadhan Moon, We see you peeking through the open dome of Masjid Nabawi. Glimpsing the empty shelves. All Mushaf held aloft as audible whispers Sing His Words. Is that a secret wish To be in the Taraweeh Saff? Bowing, prostrating, praising, Blessing the beloved whose whole being is light, SallAllahu alaihi wasallam? Or do I see you turning your glance To The House? Magnetized by the constant circling rhythm. O Majestic Ramadhan Moon, How do you remain so poised Surrounded by a flurry of Angels festooning The Eternal Gardens of Delight? Is the breeze I feel the fluttering of their wings As they adorn Ar-Rayyan, Or is it the rustling of the green silk brocade as garments are prepared? Is the gentle sound I hear from the tinkling of bracelets, Or of gold and silver goblets, or crystal? Is the exuding fragrance of musk, camphor and Oud Spilling from our Lasting Home? Where we will see our Rabb Just as we see you when you are full? Please remember this Nacheez in all your supplication's. JazakAllahu Khayrun

Bismillahir Rahmaanir Rahim Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu The gift hidden behind the Qur'an Shareef. A young man was getting ready to graduate college. For many months he had admired a beautiful sports car in a dealer’s showroom, and knowing his father could well afford it, he told him that was all he wanted. As Graduation Day approached, the young man awaited signs that his father had purchased the car. Finally, on the morning of his graduation his father called him into his private study. His father told him how proud he was to have such a fine son, and told him how much he loved him. He handed his son a beautiful wrapped gift box. Curious, but somewhat disappointed the young man opened the box and found a lovely, leather-bound Qur’an Shareef. Angrily, he raised his voice at his father and said, “With all your money you give me a Qur’an Shareef?” and stormed out of the house, leaving the Sacred Book. He never contacted his father again for long, long time. Many years passed and the young man was very successful in business. He had a beautiful home and wonderful family, but realized his father was very old, and thought perhaps he should go to him. He had not seen him since that graduation day. Before he could make arrangements, he received a telegram telling him his father had passed away, and willed all of his possessions to his son. He needed to come home immediately and take care of things. When he arrived at his father’s house, sudden sadness and regret filled his heart. He began to search his father’s important papers and saw the still new Qur’an Shareef, just as he had left it years ago. With tears, he opened the Holy Qur’an and began to turn the pages. As he read those words, a car key dropped from an envelope taped behind the Qur’an Shareef. It had a tag with the dealer’s name, the same dealer who had the sports car he had desired. On the tag was the date of his graduation, and the words PAID IN FULL. According to our capacity we strive hard to perform extra Ibaadat during Ramadhan Shareef with the intention to earn extra reward. The Qur'an Shareef, revealed during Ramadhan Shareef, is a gift for us and we are bound to honour the Sacred Revealed Book so that we may in turn get honoured by the Precious Gifts hidden behind its recitation.

An Intellectual Scholar In interpreting the religious issues and as a jurist of Sunnah, she stands at the forefront. Imam Zuhri , a leading jurist says: "Hadrat Aisha was the most learned person among the people , senior and learned companions used to consult her." Musa Ibn-e-Talhah says: "I did never see any one more eloquent than Aisha." (Trimidhi, vol: 2, P: 228), Hakim, Vol: 4) Hadrat Abu Musa Ashari (Radi allahu anhu) says: "We faced no difficulty whose solution was not with Aisha." (Trimidhi, Vol: ", P: 228) Imam Zuhri again says: "If the Knowledge of all men and the wives of the Prophet (Sallall Allahu Ta'ala Alaihi wasallam) was put together, the knowledge of Aisha would exceed all of them)". Thousands of Hadith's have been reported by her. She would convey decision on religious matters even during the day of the first 3 Caliphs. About her intelligence and good judgment, Nabia Abbat, an American writer and teacher at the University of Chicago says: "She stands shoulder to shoulder with eminent jurist of her time like Hadrat Abu Huraira, Hadrat ibne-e-Umer and Hadrat Ibne-e-Abbas.Her memory was Excellent and she had memorized several thousand traditions." In Islamic jurisprudence, the distinguished jurist and theologians of Islam, like Imam Abu Hanifa and Imam Bukhari also followed the principles laid down by Hadrat Aisha (Radi Allahu anha).
