Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu JAZZALLAHU ANNA SAYYEDINA MUHAMMADAN MA HUWA AHLAHU Amir-Al Momineen Sayyedina Aqa Umar Farooq Radi Allahu anhu was sent a few measures of cloth and he distributed it among the people such that everybody received one [piece] of cloth. thereafter Sayyedina Aqa Umar Radi Allahu anhu stood upon the pulpit and he was wearing a garment [made from the same batch of cloth; and a garment is made with two pieces] and began addressing the congregation, and said: "O people! hear [and obey]". Sayyedina Salman Al-Farsi Radi Allahu anhu said: 'we won't hear [or obey]'. Sayyedina Aqa Umar Radi Allahu anhu asked: 'and why is that, abu Abdullah?' Sayyedina Salman Radi Allahu anhu: "because you distributed one piece of cloth to all of us, but you have a garment on you. [since you are a big man, how can one piece suffice to make a garment out of it?]" Sayyedina Aqa Umar Radi Allahu anhu said: "do not be hasty abu abdullah" and then he called out: "abdullah!". nobody answered. "Abdullah Ibne Umar" his son Sayyedina Abdullah ibne Umar Radi Allahu anhu answered: "i am here, at your service, o commander of the faithful!" "i ask you, by Allah! is this [other part of] garment, from your share of the cloth?' his son replied: "O Allah [be witness]! Yes." Sayyedina Salman Radi Allahu anhu said to Sayyedina Umar Radi Allahu anhu: "now you can speak and we shall hear." Allahu Akbar...
