The greatness of the 10 days of Dhul Hijjah *It was during the Ten Days of Dhul-Hijja that Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala accepted the repentance of Hazrat Adam alayhis 'salam, when He relented toward him and restored him to His grace at Arafa. *It was during those Ten Days that Hazrat Ibrahim alayhis 'salam obtained the bosom friendship bestowed upon him by Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala, having sacrificed his wealth for the sake of the guests, himself for the sake of the fires, his son for the sake of the Criterion-Furqan, and his heart for the sake of the All-Merciful. *It was during those Ten Days that Hazrat Ibrahim alayhis 'salam constructed the noble Ka'bah. *It was during those Ten Days that Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala honoured Hazrat Musa alayhis 'salam with intimate conversation. *It was during those Ten Days that forgiveness descended upon Hazrat Dawud alayhis 'salam. Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala has preferred the Ten Days Dhul-Hijjah over All the other Days of the year. The scholars of Islam, in discussing the virtue and excellence of the these Days say it is because they combine the essential acts of worships in Islam including prayer, fasting, supererogatory acts, charity and pilgrimage, as these are not present in any other days.

It has been said that Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala will bestow ten charismatic gifts upon anyone who treats the first Ten Days of Dhul-Hijjah with all due honour and respect, namely: *Blessed grace -baraka in his earthly life. *Increase in his property and wealth. *Safekeeping for his dependents. *Decrease of his misdeeds. *Multiplication of his good deeds. *Easing of his agonies-Sakarat in the throes of death. *Illumination of his darkness and gloom in the grave. *Favourable weighting of his balance at the Resurrection. *Salvation from the descending layers-darakat of Hell. *Promotion to the ascending levels-darajat of Paradise. If someone makes a charitable donation-sadaqah to a needy person-Miskin, during first Ten Days of Dhul hijjah, it will be as if he had presented charitable donations to all His Prophets -Anbiya and His Messengers-Rusul (peace be upon them all). If someone visits a sick person, it will be as if he had paid such visits to all the saints-awliya of Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala, and to all His spiritual deputies-Abdals. If someone attends a funeral service-Janaza, it will be as if he had attended the funeral services of all His martyrs-shuhada. If someone clothes a true believer-mu'min, Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala will clothe him from His store of fine garments. If someone treats an orphan kindly, Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala will treat him kindly on the Day of Resurrection-Yawm al-Qiyama, beneath the shadow of His Heavenly Throne-‘Arsh. If someone attends one of the sessions of religious learning-majalis al'ilm, it will be as if he had attended the sessions held by all of Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala 's Prophets-Anbiya and Messengers-Rusul (peace be upon them). Auzu Billaahi Minash Shaitaanir Rajim Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem ASALATU WASALAMU ALAYKA YA RASULLALLAH Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu " Verily, the first House among all marked for worship for people is that which is in Makkah abounding in blessings and a guide for all the world." (Surah Aal e Imran, verse 96) This mentioned verse proves that after the arrival of Hazrat Adam alaihis salaam, the first house built for the guidance of mankind was in Makkah. This is no ordinary house, this house is so exalted that we can see, to this day, the effects of the prayer (dua) that was made by Hazrat Ibrahim alaihis salaam whilst he was building this house. We also learn from this that Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala never rejects the prayers of His Prophets. May Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala guide us all to respect Makkah Mukarrama and the Holy Ka'aba. Aameen. One Prayer Equivalent to 100,000 Hazrat Anas bin Maalik Radi Allahu anhu narrates that Rasool Allah Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam said. "One prayer in Masjid E Haram is the same as 100,000 prayers." (Mishkaat Shareef)
