    Six Rights Of A Muslim.

Assalam alaikum, The Noble Messenger of Allah, Sallallahu alaihi Wasallam, said:---"A Muslim has 6 Rights over another Muslim. They (his companions) asked: what are they, O Messenger of Allah? He said: When you meet him, greet him with peace. When he invites you, accept his invitation. When he seeks your advice, advise him. When he sneezes and then praises Allah, invoke Allah's blessings upon him. When he falls ill, visit him. When he dies, follow his funeral. (Muslim-2162) We should be observing these 6 Rights amongst ourselves, O Muslim Brothers and Sisters.

    On The Successful One.

Salaam everyone, The Messenger of Allah, Prophet Muhammad, Sallallahu alaihi Wasallam, said:-- "He is successful who has accepted Islam, who has been provided with sufficient for his wants and been made contented by Allah with what He has given him". (Muslim) These days when people say so and so is very successful, what they mean is he or she is making a lot of money. With this Hadith, we understand who qualifies to be called successful. It is not having car x, house in y and a job z but:-- Islam, fulfilled needs and a thankful heart. Note this well...

    All About Angels.

Salaam everyone, As you are aware, belief in Angels is one of the 6 pillars upon which Imaan (faith) is built in Islam...the other 5 being:--belief in Allah as our Creator/Sustainer of the Universe, His Messengers, His Holy Books, the Last Day/Judgement Day and belief in Qadar/Fate. Just who are these obedient creatures and servants of Allah, the Angels? How were they created, what is the nature of their worship? For this and more about them, find hereby attached some comprehensive/informativework on the subject by Imam Ahmad Raza, for your perusal...Enjoy and share it around. Recognizing A Hypocrite.

Salaam everyone, In the noble words of the Messenger of Allah, Prophet Muhammad, Sallallahu alaihi Wasallam, "There are 3 signs of a hypocrite: whenever he speaks, he lies; whenever he makes a promise, he breaks it; and whenever he is trusted, he betrays his trust". (Bukari, Belief 24) May we never be counted among those identified with these or any of these negative traits/signs...beware, do not be a lier, always keep your promise(s), keep/honor trusts given to you, or entered into... Many Regards.

    Keeping To The Sunnah.

Peace, one and all.. The Noble Messenger of Allah, Sallallahu alaihi Wasallam, said:--"Let me not find one of you, reclining on his couch, when he hears something regarding what I have commanded or forbidden saying: 'We do not know. What we found in Allah's Book we have followed'. (Abu Dawud) This is a good reminder against today's casual attitude with which some Muslims, unfortunately, discard the Sunnah of our Prophet, Sallallahu alaihi Wasallam. Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala repeatedly links obedience of Allah to obedience of His Messenger. Allah says:--" And whoever obeys the Messenger, thereby obeys Allah"(4:80) and "Whatever the Messenger gives you take it, and whatever he forbids you, refrain from it".(59:7)...there are many Ayats of the Qur'an itself condemning having a 'Qur'an only' approach. To divorce the Sunnah from Islam is to render Islam ineffective...for example, the Qur'an directs us to pray and pay or give Zakkat, but without the Sunnah, how would we know how to pray and calculate/give Zakkat?...

    Glad Tidings To Strangers.

Salaam everyone, The Holy Prophet of Allah, Sallallahu alaihi Wasallam, was reported to have said:--"Islam initiated (started) as something strange, and it will revert to its (old position) of being strange. So, glad tidings to the stranger"! (Muslim) Today, we have become so distant from Islam that the way in which the Prophet, Sallallahu alaihi Wasallam, did some things appears strange to us. Even people who welcome Islam in their lives, find Muslims behaving strangely, which on further investigation turns out to be the recommended behavior in Islam. So, we should not shy away from being perceived as strangers. Someone asked the Prophet, Sallallahu alaihi Wasallam, "Who are the strangers"? He replied, "The ones who break away from their people (literally, tribes) for the sake of Islam". The Prophet, Sallallahu alaihi Wasallam, gave glad tidings to those who will be cut off from their people because they choose to follow Islam. Everybody else's lifestyle will have become so contrary to Allah's Wishes, that the person who follows Islam will appear strange and will be rejected.
  12. Assalam alaykum, In the Hadith, we learn of where the Noble Messenger of Allah, Prophet Muhammad, Sallallahu alaihi Wasallam, said that "From the excellence of a man's Islam is leaving that which does not concern him"...that is leaving that which is not important or benefitting to him, whether in speech, action or thought. Thus, 'the excellence of a man's Islam' is its perfection, such that one remains steadfast in the submission to the Commands and Prohibitions of Allah and surrenders to His rulings in accordance to His Destiny and Decree. The reality of 'that which does not concern him' is that which is not needed for a worldly or next-worldly necessity, and does not aid in attaining his Lord's good pleasure, such that it is possible to live without it....such as excessive acts and unnecessary speech. This Hadith may well be taken from Allah Most High's saying:--"And who shun all vain things"(23:3) For further reading, see Mulla Ali al-Qari's Commentary On Mishkat al-Masabih.

    Something About Zikr.

Assalam alaikum, In his book, ''Fawatih-al-Jamal'', Sheikh Abul Janab Najmuddin al-Kubra said, ''Zikr is flowing in the body of every single living creature by the necessity of their breath-even without will--as a sign of obedience, which is part of their creation. Through their breathing, the sound of ''HUWA'' of the Divine Name of God is made with every exhalation and inhalation and it is a sign of the Unseen Essence of the Creator. The name ''Allah'' which encompasses the 99 Names and Attributes, consists of 4 letters: alif, lam,lam and ha (Allah). The people of Sufism say that the Absolute Unseen Essence of God, Exalted and Almighty, is expressed by the last letter as vowelized by the alif, ''HUWA''. The first lam is for the sake of emphasis: safeguarding your breath from heedlessness will lead you to complete presence. Complete presence will lead you to complete vision. Complete vision will lead you to complete manifestation of God's Ninety-Nine Names and Attributes and all His other Attributes, because it is said, ''God's Attributes are as numerous as the breaths of human beings''. It must be known by everyone that securing the breath from heedlessness is difficult for seekers. Therefore, they must safeguard it by seeking forgiveness, because seeking forgiveness will purify it and sanctify it and prepare the seeker for the real manifestation of God everywhere''.
