Assalam alaikum, The mouth is a holy opening for sustenance, breathing and speaking. In the Hadith, we find teachings of the Holy Prophet, peace be upon him, to the effect that controlling the opening of the mouth [speech] is of the highest concern and can earn tremendous reward or eternal doom. The food we eat is filled with energy, radiowaves and electromagnetic radiation. Whatever is in the atmosphere and emitting from creation is absorbed in the food we eat and air we breath. This energy collects in the mouth and will try to be absorbed by the teeth and than sent into the body.... from where it goes to the heart and into the blood, and then to the stomach area. If this energy is bad or of negative energy, then physical and/or spiritual sickness occur. We should, therefore, safeguard our mouth by:-- 1) Eating only Lawful food (Halal). 2) Abstaining from forbidden foods and beverages (Haram). 3) Speaking good words (Truthfulness). 4) Reducing anger, and 5) Keeping our tongue moist in Zikrullah regularly. When the figure of Adam, peace be upon him, was being formed, angels presented themselves to view it, but the accursed Shaytan [satan] found an opportunity here to spit towards the body in malice (his saliva landing on the exact spot where our navels are today). In reply, Allah, Azza Wa Jallah, ordered Jibreel, peace be upon him, to extact the sand from that area and use it to form a dog. This is why 3 qualities remain prevalent in dogs-- they are friendly towards humans (due to being formed from the sand of Jibreel), they are filthy (due to the spit of Shaytan) and they are vigilant at night (due to Jibreel placing his hand on them). Assalam alaikum, In his book, "Al-Wabil as-Sa'ib" (p.52), Imam Ibn Qayyim, may Allah be ,Merciful to him, said that "there is no doubt that the heart oxidizes, just as copper and silver oxidize. Its polishing is the Zikr, which will make it white like mirror. The oxidization of the heart is due to heedlessness and sin. Its polishing is by means of 2 actions: repentance and Zikr. If someone's heart is cloudy, the reflections of images will be unclear, he will see falsehood as truth and truth in the image of falsehood. when there is too much oxidization on the heart, [it] becomes darkened, and in the darkness the images of the Truth and Reality never appear. The best way to polish it is through Zikrullah." Undoubtedly... "Verily, in the Remembrance of Allah hearts do find their rest". (13:28)-Surat Ra'ad.

The second Ayat of Surat Ikhlas (112:2) of the Holy Qur'an reads: ALLAHU SAMAD. If Allah, Azza Wa Jallah, is SAMAD, then we are SAMADIYYA of Allah. The SAMADIYYA of Allah refers to 2 aspects: 1) His absolute independence from all things. 2) The absolute dependence of all things on Him... thus when you lift that cup/glass to drink water, it s only BY and THROUGH the MERCY OF ALLAH [as Rahman and Rahim] that your thirst can be quenched. This is the REALITY of things and the Wisdom of our reciting the 'BASMALA when eating, drinking, etc. The Way we understand and believe affects the way we behave and act. Does water remove thirst? Does the fire have the power to burn or not? When Prophet Ibrahim, peace be upon him, was placed into the fire by his enemies, what happened? It becomes 'Bardan Wa Salaaman', a place of security and tranquility.... because Allah, Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala, creates, controls and gives effect every single second, to every single creation, at any time He Wishes. When we, as slaves of the Creator, say 'BISMILLAHI RAHMANI RAHEEM', we affirm the reality of things... ie that it is only BY and THROUGH THE MERCY OF ALLAH, do things happen/occur, including quenching your thirst with a cup of cold water. And by our affirming this with faith in our reciting the 'BASMALA, Allah then sends His blessings [baraka] upon the acts we do.

All night, a man called "Allah, Allah" Until his lips were bleeding. Then Satan said, "Hey! Mr. Gullible! How come you have been calling all night, And never once heard Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala say, "Here I am?" You call out so earnestly and, in reply, what? I'll tell you what.... nothing"! The man suddenly felt despair and abandoned. Depressed, he threw himself on the ground, And fell into a deep sleep. In a dream, he met Sayyidina Ibrahim, alaihi salaam, who asked, "Why are you regretting praising Almighty Allah"? The man said, "I called and called, but Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala never replied, "Here I am"! Sayyidina Ibrahim, alaihi salaam, expalined, "The Almighty says, "Your calling of My Name is My Reply. Your longing for Me is My Message to you. Your fear and hope are the keys to unlocking the doors to Me." Therefore, in the silence surrounding every call to "ALLAH", Wait a thousand replies of "HERE I AM". So, let us all strive to Remember Him, Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala, with every breath.... always.

Assalam alaikum, Abu Huraira, may Allah be pleased with him, narrated that the Noble Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said:--- "THE ONE WHO LOOKS AFTER A WIDOW OR A POOR PERSON IS LIKE A MUJAHID (Warrior) WHO FIGHTS FOR ALLAH's CAUSE, OR LIKE HIM WHO PERFORMS PRAYERS ALL THE NIGHT AND FASTS ALL THE DAY". [bukhari: Vol. 7, Book 64, No. 265] In view of this Noble Hadith, we may as well resolve to be looking after a widow and/or a poor person in our neighbourhood, so as to reap the benefits of so doing accordingly....

Salaam everyone, Hakeem Ibn Hizam, may Allah be pleased with him, reported that Allah's Apostle, Sallallahu alaihi Wasallam, said:-- "The seller and the buyer have the right to keep or return goods as long as they have not parted or till they part; and if both parties spoke the truth and described the defects and qualities of the goods, then they would be blessed in their transaction, and if they told lies or hid something, then the blessings of their transaction would be lost". [bukhari] In the Light of this Noble Hadith, we are required to be Honest in all our business, commercial and/or trading activities, just as we...as Muslims..are required to be while conducting all our endeavours.
